Reviews for Bluewater Bay Marina
Super Marina!, 2016-08-23
Captain: , Pensacola, FL (79)

These folks couldn't be nicer, I went down to Destin for the weekend and stayed here because it was rated so well on AC. We didn't arrive until after dark on Saturday night. They put a big helium ballon on the dock assigned to me!! That sure made it easy to find!
The marina has the standard facilities and all in good shape, the docks are in need of some work as they are the fixed wood type and my wife wanted to watch the Olympics but we couldn't pull any TV channels from the air antenna and there was no cable at the dock but it was still a great weekend stay!

Great Marina!!, 2016-03-10
Captain: , La Crosse, WI (627)

April and Jimmie are the nicest people in Niceville! Great staff, have a courtesy car available, trailer and truck storage for those who trailer their boats and a deep boat launching ramp. Restrooms and showers are clean. Easy bicycle distance to shopping. A great restaurant and bar on site. As we bicycled through the neighborhoods, everyone we met were truly Nice!!

Captain: , Kemah, TX (306)

We were travelling with friends and layed over here for the night.

The marina is well protected and has two great restaurants on site.

The entrance channel is fairly narrow but well marked. If arriving for the first time during periods of limited visibility I would recommend you call ahead for approach directions.

Best option between Pensacola and Panama City, 2015-12-06
Captain: , Cincinnati (252)

First nice marina we have found after traveling multiple times between Pensacola and Panama City. Nice sheltered cove, would work well if things turn rough on Choctwahatchee bay. Sometimes it is just the little things that make crusing eaiser, they place a flag at your slip, so the moment you get in the cove you know where your headed. The marina is located in a residentail development, great for stretching your legs. No problems with depth, watched several comercial fishing boats come in for fuel.

Perfect Stopover, 2015-11-30
Captain: , Seabrook, TX (246)

Great for a few days or weeks. April and Jimmy were super, the docklands couldn't do enough. Mayhew's Marine is very good for service work. WiFi needs upgrades and sometimes is challenging, keeps it from 5 stars. Entrance is narrow, but well marked, with plenty of water. Diesel $2.99 plus tax

Stopped 11/29/15
Same great service, WIFI is improved, but they finally put the courtesy car out of it's misery. They did offer to get us to shopping in the area. We have family in the area and didn't need it.

The friendliest folks around, 2015-11-18
Captain: , Iuka, MS (1120)

We always stop here for the friendly, quaint atmosphere. Easy spot to provision with nearby grocery stores and restaurants reachable via courtesy car. Wooden docks are showing their age, but I prefer these fixed ones over floating anyway. Request the side-tie on the east end of the main dock for easiest in and out. Basin protected from all but strong north to northwest winds.

Great Stop Over, 2015-07-09
Captain: , Corpus Christi (240)

As we proceeded towards Port St Joe from Palafax this was a reat stop over. we actually enjoyed enough to spend an extra night there before moving on.

Good Place to Stop, 2015-02-15
Captain: , Orange TX (130)

Well marked channel. Wooden fixed docks a bit old. Jimmie very helpful upon arrival. She even ran down to the dock with orange flag to help us locate our dock. She was very helpful in all ascpects of our stay. Took advantage of the courtesy jeep for provisioning. Short drive for grocery, fast food, banks, etc.

Nice, quiet marina with great people running it, 2015-01-25
Captain: , Aurora, KY (146)

My wife and I stopped for an overnight stay and were treated very kindly by the friendly staff. Were it not for the weather window we would have stayed longer and intend to stop back by when in the area again. Beautiful little, protected cove.

Friendly and helpful, 2015-01-15
Captain: , Seabrook, TX (70)

We really enjoyed our 2-day stay. Jimmy (a lady) and April in the offce were so nice and friendly. Dave met us at the pier to help us dock the boats. The bar is great and the restaurant was ok... Some things we ordered were great... others so-so. The have a great restroom/shower facilty and a loaner jeep... just don't turn on the A/C Ask for slip A-16 or A-17... the have 50Amp power.

A Little Out of the Way, 2014-12-03

Bluewater Bay Marina - Fun place, 2014-06-17
Captain: , Stockton, MO (240)

This little marina has a nice restaurant and bar. It is a little distance to get to shopping but overall it is a good place to stay.

Nice place., 2014-04-06
Captain: , Halifax Harbor (109)

The people make this the best place to stay. If you want a place with clean restrooms, good food and a stocked ship store, go here. We used the courtesy car to stock up at the nearby Publix, walked to the 27 hole golf course and ran throughout the Bluewater Bay property. Given all this, it was the wonderful people at this marina that make it great and will get our repeat business whenever we go back to this area.

Nice stopover, 2014-03-05

Captain: , Ocean Spings Mississippi (215)

Such a friendly, helpful and professional staff! Stayed for three nights and made lots of friends on the dock and in the bar. The ships store is the best stocked I''ve ever seen. What they didn't have they had delivered to me the next day. Can't say enough good things about my stay here.

Home away from home, 2013-10-24
Captain: , Galveston, TX (599)

Initially planned on a stop over before continuing on to Panama City for a layup. Liked it so much we layed up early. Great facilities in the marina itself, as well as the surrounding community. School is close by for the kids. Out of the way enough to be a quiet spot, but close enough to the action that we weren't put out for stuff to do. A great community of people who live, work, and play on the water. But wear shoes on the dock.

An osprey nests in the trees along the spit. Nicely sheltered for dinghy sailing. Close enough to the Bay for taking the big boat out for the day. Sailing lessons available for the kids. Paddle boards available for everybody.

Enjoyable Place, 2013-09-24
Captain: , Lizella GA (1414)

I was confused about where to dock but they put up a flag on the open slip so I couldn't miss it. They help you to dock and tie up. The resturant and grill both have good food. Had Live music the night we were there. It was loud so we went to the bar and joined the fun. Had a great evening. Stay mid channel markers to avoid sand bars. Is fine once inside.

First time by chance, second by choice, 2012-12-10

We have stayed here twice. Cannot say enough good things about the marina, the staff, the food, or the well stocked ships store.

Great Marina, 2012-06-25
Captain: , Elberta, AL (100)

Great facilities and a nice staff (kudos to Chris on the dock). We spent a total of $5.00 for ice, got a pump out and topped up the water tanks. Did not need fuel. They treated ud like regulars spending big bucks. We'll be back to take advantage of the restaurant.

Top Notch Marina, 2012-02-08

Wonderful marina with friendly staff. Narrow channel to get in, but plenty of depth if you stay in channel. Very nice community. Fixed docks, power and water. Restaurant on site, but closed on Monday and Tuesday. Discount with Boat US and Marina Life.
