Reviews for Blue Waters Marina
A little paradise, 2015-05-13

We stayed at Blue Waters for 7 months in 2014. The only reason we left was our need for a convenient airport. Great management, friendly crews and all the other good things that make for a pleasant stay.

we anchored off tavernier key for a couple of rough weather days. we got in contact with the owner jerry and he allowed us to enter from an empty slip. this marina has nice restrooms and showers. there were 2 washers and 2 dryers that were available -not too pricy ($2 for wash/$1 for dryer). we even enjoyed the outdoor lounging area. we brought our dog with us, they had no issue with that. close by we picked up some fuel at the shell station (gasoline) and got a tasty sandwich at Chad's (one sandwich is big enough for 2 people). thanks jerry!

Great find, 2014-03-11

It is difficult to find a protected stop between Miami and Marathon but Blue Waters fits the bill.

If you approach during low tide you will have to clear a 4.3 ft bar across the entrance. With a 3 ft tide, you can time your entrance for plenty of depth. Once past the first set of markers, the depth increases to 10 ft or more. The rest of the way in looks narrow but there's more room than what's apparent.

As you turn into the basin, Blue Waters is on the north side to the west.

The owners could not be more accommodating. I was offered free rides to Winn Dixie, the bank and any of several restaurants.

The basin itself is a hurricane hole, protected 360. The slips are fixed but have 3/4 length fingers for easy on/off. The owners do not have a credit card account so cash or check is the only payment accepted. They will give you a ride to the ATM if needed.

Nice, well-kept for live aboards, 2013-02-25
Captain: , currently Plantation Yacht Harbor, Islamorada, Fla. Keys (4407)

Small, well-kept marina in well protected basin. Perfect for live aboards desiring small close-knit community. Very plesant owners who are on-site. Mostly serves sailboaters. Ice, grills, and tiki hut included in rent. Clean showers and laundry facility. Would rank higher if it accomodated larger vessels, had fuel and was closer to grocery, restaurants and stores.

Great liveabord marina., 2011-09-07

Real nice place to live, quit. Nice clean restrooms and showers. The owners are great people.
