Reviews for Blackwater Inn Docks
This is a rating on the food not the dock, 2017-05-07
Captain: , Frostproof Fl (260)

We stayed across the riverat Astor Bridge Marina and walked over to eat. The fish dip here is #1. The food, view and service was very good. The salad bar is nice and the portions are large. We had a nice leisurely lunch with friends, as we watched the river go by.

Nearly fee free, close enough, 2017-04-27
Captain: , Key Largo (5457)

You can't beat the prices.
Because the river happend to be 38 had to pick the longest finger, then put the bow up onthe mud, (River was down at the time) no problem. Still usable.
used two 30 amp services.
HOWEVER the cost was $35 for twin electric

Very nice place to stop, 2016-04-08

We stayed here on April 7, 2016. We got lucky enough to get a slip on the north side of the main dock just oposite the tour boat. The marina sits just south of the Astor bridge and has two great resaturants on site. You certainly can't beat the price and the staff are very friendly. If they had shower facitities I would have given the five starts.

Little privacy on the long pier, 2016-01-16

Paid $25. for one night and one 30 amp cord.
The 1st and 2nd floor bar and restaurant look directly into the boat on the long dock.
Bar food was good.

Dock and Dine, 2014-02-17
Captain: , Camp Lejeune, NC (180)

Contacted Blackwater Inn by phone. They told me to pick any slip. Tied up on fixed dock, no current. Had electric but it went out in the evening. Ate lunch and dinner in casual dining on second floor. Special catfish nuggets and popcorn shrimp with two sides only $6.95. Delecious! No one asked for a dockage fee so the tie up was free. Highly recommend!

Blackwater Inn Docks, 2013-05-12
Captain: , Green Cove Springs, Fl (570)

We stayed here 3 nights. We are a 37ft trawler and managed to grab the large slip for our stay. Nice place to dock. Ace Hardware is an easy 1/2 mile walk. Blackwater staff very friendly and food was excellent. If you want a great burger walk across the bridge to Castaways. Price is $19.00 for water & electric (30 amp). We had to use two 30 plugs so it was $25.00 per night. Still well worth the stop.

Restaurant dock, 2013-05-07

The owner helped us tie up to the main dock by the gazebo, bow in as you run out of depth in the hyacinth patch (on our return trip, we noticed that slip was entirely covered by hyacinths). Grateful for an early stop as we collected tons of midges crossing dead calm Lake George. We hosed them off as soon as we docked. Dockage was $18 plus tax with dinner reservation. Pleasant restaurant. Food was not high gourmet, but very decent, with choice of fresh salad bar or clam chowder. Try the dark chocolate dipped Key lime pie for dessert. After battling midges, dinner out was a nice treat.

Nice stop after a long day!, 2013-01-29
Captain: , Topsail Beach, NC (480)

After being stuck on the bottom in Silver Glen Springs all day (see that review), we were happy to pull in here for the night. We called ahead and they said they had plenty of room. Unlike someone else who reviewed, we did not have any help at the dock, but we are fine docking ourselves so that was no problem. The dock is perpendicular right in front of the restaurant/inn, easy to tie up for our 36 footer. Dinner was delicious. The restaurant is very nice...good atmosphere and good food. Our dock had 30 amp power. Contrary to info provided here wifi is not included, but we were able to pick up a good unsecured signal from the restaurant across the river.

Blackwater Inn dock, 2012-03-10

Nice place for lunch and a good supper. The ST 40 bridge is a bit noisy but traffic slows dramatically at night.
Patronize the establishment and treat the owner right and he may let you stay for free.

Good restaurant, 2010-03-24
Captain: , Lewes, DE (2521)

Restaurant food is very good, people are friendly, and they have an outdoor bar that overlooks the river. The docks are in a NO WAKE zone so there is no wave action. The docks are covered by a security camera that the owner monitors, and he even helps you dock.
