We ended up here because everyone else was full. They found us a slip at a great rate, and even allowed us to extend our visit from one week to three. They have everything including free ice and the famoue Hurricane Restaurant is on site...Thinking of reserving for next year...

update to docks and seawall, 2013-09-29

new docks and sea wall are complete

Blackfin Motel and Marina, 2013-06-15
Captain: , Fort Lauderdale (144)

We stayed at the motel about 10 days ago and while is was clean it is was a bit worn out, lumpy mattress, old and limited furnishings, however they take dogs and this made is just fine. If they did not take dogs I would rate it 2 stars. The marina is essentially a wreck. Part of the sea wall has collapsed, docks fallen down, there is essentially no dockage at this facility. A mid Jume update, construction is underway to repair the seawall and rebuild the docks. The soon to be new docks look to be substantial in construction with round smooth concrete pileings.

Could have been a little friendlier, 2013-04-08
Captain: , Clearwater, FL (40)

We were thinking of anchoring up near Pretty Joe Rock and called to see if we could dinghy in to get to West Marine. We were absolutely willing to pay some kind of dinghy docking fee. The person that we spoke to just kept repeating that they had a sea wall under repair and could not accommodate our sail boat. Never answered my actual questions. Wasn't rude, but not very friendly at all. Wouldn't even think of trying to stay there in the future.

A great place, 2013-03-07

Stayed here a week the people here treat you like family. The marina is a little tight. Excellent parking for tow rigs and trailers. Decent pool, laundry, barbecues tucked in a bunch of different spots, with tables and chairs. We trailered here with our 23' C-Dory and the launch ramp was excellent. The showers, bathrooms are the best around. The other marina customers were very friendly most have been coming here for years. Nice little beach area. Close to Publix grocery store, many restaurants. We will be back!

Great place for home base, 2012-08-29
Captain: , Atlanta, GA (291)

Been here 4 times and every experience has been great. Not great for swimming though...seen plenty of bull sharks off the jetty here!

A favorite. I'll be back., 2012-05-25
Captain: , Newport, RI (156)

I planned to spend a month here, and ended up staying 3. Great spot with awesome facilities and easy access to groceries and home depot. A great culture of regular boaters and a beautiful little beach with good swimming and diving access. Barry, the GM, provides a friendly management attitude you won't find just anywhere.

The Hurricane Grill is a fun spot too with good food deals.

I'm gonna miss it there!

We signed up for a week and stayed a few days longer, 2011-12-15
Captain: , Marthas Vineyard (506)

This marina has a great location especially if you have a bike; its small and friendly and we were very happy here; there's a fun keys-style pub on the grounds (Hurricanes) there's a "beach" with lots of outside furniture and beautiful bay views, a pool, showers, a laundry, wifi, everything but television, and who needs its! Dive shop next door and great rates, too.

Great place to stop, 2011-11-30
Captain: , Savannah, GA (116)

Very nice friendly marina with excellent rates by the day, week or month. Call ahead to make sure you can get in as the depth is a bit shallow. Close to Publix and Winn Dixie and free WiFi

Beautiful little marina, 2011-04-06
Captain: , San Francisco CA (1301)

Very friendly and helpful staff, free pump out at the boat, reasonable price/foot, easy walk to Publix. This was a most pleasant place to come in Marathon, and not nearly as frenetic as Boot Harbor.
