Reviews for Bird Key Yacht Club
Nice Club but low water, 2016-02-08
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (216)

We had five boats come in here and most of us were on the sea wall by the club. All of us drew approximately 5' and all were touching bottom at low tide.

Very nice private club, 2015-02-03
Captain: , Clearwater, FL (270)

Small but very comfortable club with a great dock and service staff. Convenient and easy access off ICW in Sarasota. Limited dock space available but full service.

Ex-member Review, 2014-09-01
Captain: , Oriental,NC (557)

Love this place. Used to live in Bird Key and kept our 35 ft. sailboat here. No floating docks and not much space, but the amenities are great (huge pool, great showers, great restaurant, tennis courts). Bikeable or walkable to st. armands circle, which offers great retail and restaurants.

Low Key but great, 2014-08-06
Captain: , Riviera Dunes, FL (80)

Easy to get in, friendly people and staff. Must be a Florida yacht council member to book. Short bike ride to St Armands and DT Sarasota.

Only stayed one night., 2013-10-13

Friendly staff, friendly members, and nice facilities!

I was just passing through on my way to the Fl Keys, and the Bird Key Yacht Club is a convenient FCYC club right off the GCICW. I arrived after dark, and the advice given by phone was to 'hug the seawall' on the way in, and tie off at the fuel dock.

Paperwork was waiting for me at the Compass Bar, and they had an informative flyer for transients to assist with the services available. Overall, a pleasant night's stay.

Great FCYC club, 2011-03-22
Captain: , Ft. Lauderdale (1134)

Bird Key YC is a small very friendly club. Good facilities, docks and power. Marina can be a bit rolly a strong NE wind. Easy access to shopping.

This is a wonderful club -- cordial, friendly and with good food. The City is just a 20 minute walk away. Tie up here for the night, if you can, and enjoy quiet and privacy.

Better Stop Than Sarastoa YC, 2009-10-29
Captain: , Ft. Myers (406)

Bird Key YC is small and exclusive. Due to Sarasota YC's construction this is the better stop. Small wall for 2-3 boats. Excellent chef. Happy Hour and lite menu. Need bikes to get anywhere. St Armand Circle two miles. There is a good Columbia Restaurant there. FCYC Members.

Comfortably Elegant Yacht Club, 2009-04-15
Captain: , Punta Gorda. FL (360)

For those with reciprocity, a few transient spots on he wall in front of this fine facility with nice pool and great work out room. Very fine bar with view of Sarasota to the east. Large dining room with good to excellent food.
Located 2.5 miles west of downtown Sarasota and 2.5 miles east of St. Armand's Circle, Bird Key is a quiet upscale residential island off the Ringling Causeway boulevard. Bring your bikes.
