Reviews for Bill Bird Marina at Haulover Park
Good marina, 2015-01-23
Captain: , Moyock, NC (1054)

There are six Miami-Dade Park Marinas like this one which are nice, friendly, a good stay, affordable, and working to improve their offering. Pump-out systems have been a problem. However, in 2015 all six marinas are scheduled with funding for new pump-out systems to be installed that will also tell the boater how much waste is removed.

Cannot fuel a large boat here, 2015-01-17
Captain: , Stuart, FL (80)

We radioed to get fuel and Sea Tow answered as fuel dock does not answer radio. Fuel dock big enough for our 42 ft but that was it. Waited half hour for a 30 footer to get finished loading beer and snacks aboard. NOBODY to catch lines and lots of boat traffic. Current miserable. Our worst fueling experiece EVER.....

AKA Haulover Marina, 2014-02-20
Captain: , Plantation Yacht Harbor, Islamorada, Fla. Keys (4666)

In general, a well-run marina on both the AICW and Haulover Cut. A bit of wake roll on the face dock, but great location and affordable prices more than make up for that. Just a few blocks north of Bal Harbour mall, and across the street from the beach [including a clothing optional section]. Some noise from the street and daw bridge, and the commerical charter fleet, but nothing too objectionable. Would male a great stopover or longer term dockage. Friends there started as short-timers, and have decided to become long-term residents. Rating would be higher if restaurants, grocery, and marine parts were closer.

Haulover Fuel Dock, 2013-10-14
Captain: , Sunny Isles (20)

Fuel provided by Haulover Marine Center. Last location for fuel heading north until Hollywood. $5.88/gal. Small retail with ice and supplies. Friendly Service. Pumps on south side of Marina.

Looked like a great stop for fuel but could not get any response.

Outstanding find., 2012-02-22
Captain: , Monches,wi (330)

Great facility in a great location and a great staff. Evidently issues mentioned in previous reviews (over a year old) have been dealt with. Clean, well organized, and Manager Kathy are all top-shelf. On top of all that, $1.75/ft. In Miami.!!!!! About 1/4mi from Haulout Inlet.

Brand new marina not finished yet, 2010-02-17
Captain: , Buffalo (1154)

Excellent new concrete fixed docks, and the elec and water worked. But the dockmasters complex is not finished yet, so there was no showers and no wifi, and the grungey washrooms were across a large parking lot. And I guess no one told the marina staff that they were supposed to help us in and out. No one would answer our calls, so we just took any slip we liked. The dockmaster only came buy to collect the money. But the main problem was the wakes from passing motorboats. The "breakwall" is useless, and there is little enforcement of the speed limit. Next time we will stay somewhere else

Not Ready for Prime Time, 2008-03-02
Captain: , Neabsco Creek, VA (95)

This Miami/Dade County facility is undergoing alot of construction. You will need lots of fenders if your inside the "breakwater" and even more if your outside.

We couldn't get water to work near the end of the dock.

Fishing boats come and go until around midnight.

Diesel was approaching $5.00 and gas was over.

Haulover Wakes, 2007-04-05
Captain: , Ft. Lauderdale (290)

Most people familiar with area know of ths marina right off the Haulover Inlet. For others it is a good place for a quick refuel if your traveling on the outside or on the ICW. Be prepared with lots of bumpers and lines as the docks are open to wake activity and can be bumpy. City owned, but prices tend to be about average for the area. Decent concessions, beer and minimal provisions, some fishing items.
