Reviews for Benicia Marina
Great Town, 2017-06-11

Great town for exploring. Lots of interesting shops and history.

Benicia Marina, 2016-09-04
Captain: , Salt Lake City (121)

Nice little marina. Guest slip fees were $40 per night (47' boat) including 30 amp power. Came for two nights. It was 10* warmer than the bay. Neat town within easy walking distance. Quite a few restaurants. Luccas was good. Sailor Jacks was pretty good. Grocery about 20 minutes.

Nice Delta Stopover, 2015-04-20
Captain: , Sacramento (183)

Been coming here a for a few years on the way to and back from the Delta.
Here's why I like it:
Great place to break up a trip to the Delta. The town is small and wonderful and only a few blocks from the marina (I recommend Luca's for dinner). It is a great place to walk your dog and the sunsets are magnificent. The staff has been great to me.

Here's why it is challenging: it is often very windy and the currents in the area are occasionally fierce. And it can be cold.

Here is how to improve the place: time to refurbish the bathrooms and showers (they need it). Time to dredge the entrance. Time to upgrade some of the docks. And try to make sure you put transients into regular slips and not the fuel dock (probably the source of the previous cranky review).

I will keep coming back, of course.

Haven't quite figured out how to cater to boaters., 2015-03-11

Staying at the guest dock for 3 days while we visit friends. No water. 30amp electric. Security gate is open to the public at all times. Restrooms are open to the public during the day and locked at night. Restrooms are dirty and dark. Not what I would consider a value for $40.00 per night. Staff was helpful when we checked in but the person was new and didn't even know what dock was what. Didn't inform us that we would have to pay in cash when we called to make a reservation. Town is in walking distance with good shopping and dining.

Great place, could be a few feet deeper, 2013-09-04

Great overnighter with lots of food and entertainment places west of the marina within short walking distance. 6 foot channel at high tide, I draw 6 and dragged bottom coming in.

Accessible and pleasant, 2011-06-14

Gas dock is a good accessible place to drop off and pick oup guests. Stay away from channel edges on entrance, but main channel center has good depth. Nice place. Close by restaurants, etc. Nice town.

Lots of eateries and shops within walking distance. Wonderful views from the yacht club.

Good Getaway, 2011-04-13
Captain: , Sausalito, CA (39)

Friendly gateway to the Sacramento/San Joaquin delta cruising grounds. Nice small town with lots of good restaurants. Recommend the rack of lamb at the Union Hotel. A nice overnight getaway from our dock in Sausalito.

Good marina - lots of nearby stores, 2010-02-08

I've visited this marina several times. Harbor staff is friendly and helpful. Numerous restaurants, stores, cafe's within easy walk distance. there is a safeway about 1/2 mile from the marina. nice walk down the main street to safeway. dog friendly.
