nice happy hour, 2016-06-11

Everyone seems very nice. No overnight docking.

Interesting Place!, 2015-05-12
Captain: , Slidell, La. (1055)

We walked from PC Marina and had our small poodle with us and the only outdoor table that we could sit at with the dog was on the marina pier walking up to the restaurant. This was okay with us and we expected to have mediocre service because of the location. We arrived early afternoon (around 3:30) and had a few drinks before dinner. There was only one waitress with a couple of tables and even though we would go back and forth for our own drinks, she seemed "put out" that we were there and was not too friendly. The food was okay, but not the best and thought the prices were on the high side for the portions received. Disappointed, but maybe our experience would have been better had we not been traveling with our dog.

Bayou Joe - Worth the search., 2014-05-21
Captain: , Grand Isle (96)

We found it by accident - the service was great. Cathy did a wonderful job and treated us very well. The food was excellent. Nothing fancy, looks like it is about to fall in to the water. Prices were good. We plan to have breakfast there tomorrow. Located on Massalina Bayou.

Great food and friendly staff, 2014-01-06

Hard to decide what to order with so many good choices on the menu. Fun, friendly staff. Short walk from PC Marina.

MMMMM catfish for breakfast, 2013-07-23

Must stop here when in the area. Had great dinner and an excellent Breakfast. The catfish and eggs , and the Bayou omlette are my recomendations for breakfast. Staff is friendly, attentive and made us feel welcome.

Old Florida Charm, 2013-04-19

This is a fun place with an excellent selection of unusual beer on tap. Bayou Joe's has been around for 45 years and offers excellent calamari and beach fare. they don't overcook the fish. Great grouper ceasar salad. If you like it hot, try their Koran tacos. Beer and wine 1/2 price till 6pm. Free dinghy tie up. Ok to leave dinghy if you need to run into town. Downtown is 3 blocks away with everything you need.

What a great find with loads of character, 2013-04-08
Captain: , Acworth, GA (225)

We pulled up to the port side of the restaurant and tied up to go in for dinner. Great food and all local fresh seafood plus unbelievable burgers. After dinner, we motored about 50 yards and dropped the hook for the night. Nice quiet anchorage and no boat traffic. Got up Sunday morning and motored back over for breakfast. Lots of great choices including some creative specials. Mostly locals with a few tourists during spring break. A must stop on your way through Panama City!

Great "Hole in the Wall" place!, 2013-02-07
Captain: , Dothan, Alabama (140)

This is a really good spot that is visited alot by locals. Great fresh seafood daily and you MUST try their fried calimari! You can actually pull your boat up along side the restaurant dining area and there are sliding glass doors/windows that open up where can step right from your boat to tyour table, pretty wld. There is a drawbridge coming into the bayou but they are quick to open it upon request.

great food, 2012-12-30

we stayed at PC marina walke here to eat twice shrimp, cat fish, crab cakes, key lime pie even sunshine pie all very good. Their entry is a bit disconcerning but it's worth the adventure. Go for it!

Great people, fun atmosphere, excellent food and beer, 2012-08-27
Captain: , Kemah, TX (395)

Dinghy under the Massillina bascule bridge and call out to the waitresses on the restaurant’s deck and they will guide you to the slip with the step so you can climb out of your dinghy more easily. We had a great time with the very friendly staff. The food is really good and priced right and they keep a good variety of beers on tap. Lots of fun.
