Reviews for Lucy's Branch Marina

Have stayed at Wheeler State park each time we cruise through northern AL. Decided to try Lucy's Branch and get off the water a little earlier as we were heading west. There was some confusion and they did not recall our phone conversation the day before. No one answered the radio when we arrived. We called them by phone when we got in the harbor. They told us to stop at the fuel dock and check in first. What? It was windy and very busy at the fuel dock. I said no and turned the boat to leave. A man came running out and directed us to our spot for the night . . .the end of a dock. However, he and all the other folks were very nice and we had a good stay. Sitting on our boat and watching the nearby boat ramp on a sunday afternoon was great entertainment. There is still no shortage of newbys.

We have been at Lucy's Branch for almost 2 years, our dock is clean, well maintained..New Owner took over Jan 1, 2013. He has already began his updating this faciltiy. New walk ways, more parking, for Docks A,B,and C. The updating for E and F will be this winter. All docks will be handicap accessible. Fat Cat's(full menu) will reopen in spring 2014. Ammenities include pool, gym, laundry room, gas pumps, holding tank pump out,and stocked ship store. Oh and don't forget, warm weather brings out the entertainment...the bands this year were great, and Karokee was so much fun. Oh yes and there are condo's to purchase or rent by the month... Come on in and join us... We stay on boat 12 months every weekend... Loopers welcome. We currently have two that have been on the loop 5 1/2 years and the other is still looping... Folks, give this marina a chance to treat you special.

Lucy's Branch (formely BayHill) is under new owners and many improvements have already been made with more on the way. I noticed a few ratings from the past that were not good. We keep our boat at Lucy's branch and love the facility. Please visit again and see the changes. I think you will lover it

I couldn%u2019t say anything better than the previous posts. At best this is just a shade better than setting on the hook, no setting on the hook is better it%u2019s free. This will be our one and only stop at Bayhill Marina what a disapointment.

Disappointed, 2012-05-25
Captain: , Pensacola, Florida (132)

According to other transients, the garbage cans on the dock have not been emptied for a month. I asked and saw no one picking up the trash. When paying my dock fees, the .75 per foot was supposed to be even lower since staying 3 days, but actually came out to be .89 a foot. I doubt if intentional mistake, but sloppy math. Calls to correct problems have gone unanswered. The marina office is seldom open with staff available.

At time of checkin, we were not given any info regarding location of laundry, restrooms etc. and there were two large rocks just underwater nearr the restaurant that were not pointed out to us. Fortunately, we noticed and avoided them. The restaurant is no longer in operation. Once we located the office and restrooms, we found them to be clean.

Bay Hill Marina Improvements, 2009-10-12
Captain: , Bay Hill Marina (20)

For those that remember the old Lucy's Branch Marina - it is now the Bay Hill Marina and has improved significantly. They now offer diesel fuel, the parking lot has been repaved. The restaurant kitchen has been inlarged and the outside eating area screened in. The Rescue Squad has a bost and office there and there is a tow boat service.
