Reviews for Bath Harbor Marina
Welcoming marina in historically interesting Bath, 2016-09-18
Captain: , Oriental (10)

Marina seems to keep a few slips transient boats. Easy approach with good depth. The owner, Paul Minor, helped us in and made available the courtesy car to run around. Accessible 50a/30a/water on slip and remarkably good wifi. Toilet/showers clean and tidy. Great pizza restaurant across the street. Only reason have not given a 5 is a few neglected boats in the slips.
The town has a picturesque setting at the head of the natural harbor. Visitor center has informative movie on the town history and arranged tours of the two houses open to the public. Beautiful Episcopal Church, the oldest surviving church in North Carolina.
Would certainly recommend this side trip up the Pamlico River to travelers on the ICW.

BJMcL 32 ft s/v 4 1/2 draft. 3-20-16 Close to bridge, but noise not a real problem in this part of NC. Owner was out when we arrived, but had made arrangements for one of the long term slip holders to get us in. We will settle up in the morning. Older facility, but everything works. Nice people.

We enjoyed visiting bath. It is a quant town and the marina owner (Paul) went out of his way to ensure a pleasant stay. We will stop by again.

Great Place to do Business with, 2014-11-28

As the other reviews state BHM is a bit cluttered but I personally find this to be a quite charming marina where you will feel more welcomed than any other I know. It is small, out of the way and retains a very warm appeal that is diffivult to find nowadays. I love the marina and Paul and look forward to being there again, I hope many times.

Friendly little town, 2014-07-27

Bath Harbor Marina looks like it stays full most of the time with permanent sail boats. We were put in front of another boat on what is really just a finger pier. But it worked good for the 2 nights we stayed. The owner is very nice and worked hard to make our stay enjoyable. The fixed docks could use some work and the marina grounds need some maintenance. Bath has a population of 249 people. It is a cute little town that is trying hard to keep old historical buildings in good repair. There is a restaurant right across the street from the marina. Pirates Treasure at 214 South Main Street is not to be missed. Nice place to walk around with very friendly people.

Very friendly and accommodating, but....., 2013-08-23
Captain: , Charlotte (50)

Very friendly and helpful as they gave us the last berth they had, which actually blocked the boat in front of us. The dockhand was so helpful and friendly that I hate so write anything negative..... But....
The docks are showing age and are in need of repair. The grounds could use maintenance/upkeep. Maybe it looked worse than it actually is because we docked at the nicest marina we've ever seen the night before.
Again, very friendly and helpful.

Great place for your sail boat, 2013-08-17

Nice out of the way town, with a great facility. Great service from Paul, and his team, clean rooms availible, with showers, and heads. Nice people all around the marina, beautiful area.

Friendly but docks showing age, 2012-09-05

Friendly Dockmaster but docks are in need of repair. I did not use showers but was informed by a long term resident that they were in need of repair. Great washed and dryer. $6/load.

Southern Comfort, 2012-05-04

Bath Harbor Marina, just at the bridge crossing Bath Creek, feels like coming home again. Paul Minor and his lovely wife do everything to make you feel %u201Cright at home.%u201D Paul met us and helped tie us up in the pass through slip at the end of the pier. Everything here is just what you expect and hope for. There is a large cabaņa with a couple of BBQs and lots of shade. It is the coolest place with its gentle southern breezes and pleasant conversation. Water and electric included in the transient fee. Clean bathrooms and showers. Well worth the trip.

Leave it to a few Yankees to provide some of the best service on the water. While this marina is predominantely sailboats, as a transient power boater Paul and family treated us great. Though there is not much in Bath, the closeby restaurant and the history there can keep you occupied for 36 hours.

Friendly, secure in a blow, 2008-09-27
Captain: , Point Lookout (34)

At the last minute we secured a slip at Bath Harbor Marina.Helpful docking assistance was appreciated. Clean shower, 30A service. Pizza/subs restaurant across the street. Liquor store a 10-minute walk. The only grocery store in Bath is a hike, but Paul, the super nice proprieter, offered us a car. Don't imagine they often have a transient dock available, but once you're in the harbor, the town dock is right next door. No water/electric on the town dock though.

Super dock, 2007-10-18

Well, we actually were at anchor and not staying at the dock, but the owners of the the dock asked us to come up for dinner. Fun time, they are quite nice and the facilities are decent.
