Reviews for Baltimore Marine Centers at HarborView
Great first time visit, 2016-10-04
Captain: , Weston, VT (570)

Our daughter moved to Baltimore several months ago and we chose Harborview as our stop. Great choice. First it is only blocks from her Federal Hill apt and an easy waterside walk to the rest of the inner harbor. Facilities in good shape. We were on the outside of the dock and the harbor was calm for our stay which surprised us. It is a long walk to the showers and laundry. The Tiki bar/pool was not open but I suspect it can get noisy. The wifi, a complaint of ours at most marinas was slooow. Marinas need to step it up in this department.
We will return.

Trawler Fest 2014, 2014-10-07
Captain: , Herrington Harbour South (328)

Stayed here two nights for Trawler Fest 2014 which was very convenient. Staff very helpful and floating docks nice. Kind of tight - especially with strong winds - so have your first mate ready with a boat hook to fend off if necessary. There are free water taxis via Charm City Connector:
but you have to walk or catch the free bus to Locust Point (an easy walk) plus free Charm City Connector buses. Showers/restrooms OK but not private. Tiki Barge always fun.

Great for an extended stay, 2014-05-08
Captain: , Punta Gorda, Fl (960)

Good marina for our extended stay in Baltimore. Great location for Inner Harbor, Federal Hill areas. Nice neighborhood with colorful landscaping.
If you stay for at least 2 weeks the monthly rate is best deal.
Bathrooms are first rate , as well as the laundry.
Parking lot free if you get the monthly rate.
Customer service is excellent.
Docks are floating wood. Secure marina and docks. Tiki Hut bar and restaurant and pool open in season. Fitness Center close by.
On bus route and free Bay water shuttle stops here also.

Outstanding facility for Rendezvous, 2013-10-15
Captain: , Kings Creek Marina (766)

All the comforts of home. Great staff. Great facilities. Very happy here for the week.

BMC at Harborview, 2013-10-13

We were here for the first time for two weeks during the Trawlerfest and the MTOA rendezvous September/October 2013. Wonderful staff both in the office and on the docks. Docks are in excellent condition. My two reservations are these: There are so many marinas called Baltimore Marine Center that I got confused as to which marina I was to take a slip; and when pulling into our slip during a 15 knot beam wind I found there was no piling in the middle of the well to separate me from the boat next to me. If it were not for three strong dock hands grabbing our lines I would have hit the boat next to me in the well.

Stayed here for 2 weeks during Trawler Fest and MTOA Rendezvous. All of the staff was extremely helpful and eager to please, especially Danny, the dock supervisor. Rest rooms were immaculate, docks were in excellent condition and the security was very good. The only complaint I had was the wifi. I had a very difficult time getting on their network. They tried very hard to help and eventually, with the help of their tech guru I managed to get connected. Unfortunately, the hours we spent getting connected were not worth it as the system was very slow. If it weren't fot that I would give it 5 stars just for the positive attitude of the staff.

Beware of Tiki Bar pool, 2013-07-15
Captain: , Kent island MD (41)

Hello All - Harborview is a very nice - clean marina - staff great. HOWEVER Tiki Pool is an ADULT pool - not for children! Tiki pool / bar is not owned by marina - it is VERY adult pool
There is another pool in building - however if you are going with children you may want to visit one of the other BMC marinas in the harbor - all are really nice - unfortunate about the Tiki bar / pool situation.

Excellent Facility, 2012-09-24
Captain: , Deltaville VA (140)

Arrived for a 1 week stay at Trawler Fest 2012. I had made reservations. Office people on the phone AND radio were friendly and prepared. 2 knowlegeable dockhands. Excellent facility.

Nice Marina, nice staff, 2011-10-10
Captain: , Downingtown, Pa (111)

Good floating docks, very nice restrooms. A walk to Inner Harbor sites, but water taxi not far. Safe, very secure with electronic card locks to each dock. Staff was nice though we got in after 5 so no one to help on dock, left our packet with marina info and keys at adjacent restaurant for late arrival.

Great Marina, 2011-09-08
Captain: , Titusville, FL (120)

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice facility, conveniently located a short walk from all the Inner Harbor attractions. Little Havana a must stop for fun and great food and drink.

Great Spot and Close to Little Havana!, 2011-06-02
Captain: , Newark, DE (250)

The dock and service of the staff is top notch! It is a pleasant walk to the inner harbor or a shorter dignhy ride. They have great restrooms and showers and a lot of active boaters in the marina. Pumpout service is also available on te dock head. Many large boats that come into the harbor stay here, so you can get an upclose view of them. The best part is it is right next to Little Havanas. The food here is unbelievable! A fusion of cuban american. I have driven from Delaware just to get an order of wings and a pitcher or margaritas! The staff is a bunch of funny characters and the patrons are mostly boaters and hospital staff. Drinks on the deck after the sun goes down taste so good with the city skyline as a backdrop to the view of the harbor. This is also a great place to catch the firework show on the fourth of July!

Nice Marina, helpful staff, secure, 2011-05-16
Captain: , Poughkeepsie, NY (6077)

We were met by two dockhands as we came into the marina, no problem finding the slip and docking. The dock price was reasonable for the area but the charge for electricity was outrageous at $18/day for one 30 amp hookup. It's a long walk to the dock office so there are electric carts available for hauling luggage or grocery supplies to your boat. The nearest grocery store is about 3/4 of a mile west of the marina, not too far but a hike.

While you're there be sure to take advantage of Little Havana. It's a restaurant you can see from the marina, it's really hopping at night and they have great Cuban food.

great Marina, 2009-10-01
Captain: , Portsmouth New Hampshire (44)

Well maintained, with very good management, Coastal Properties. .Marina is within a short walk to the inner harbor. It is a very dog friendly marina. If you need to get to an airport BWI is a 30 minute taxie ride. I have spent 3 summers there and will go back.

Enjoyed our stay, 2009-08-30
Captain: , Frederick, MD (13)

The main reason we chose Harbor View for our stay in Baltimore was because it was the only marina that we found that offered a 6 month "seasonal" rate from May until the end of October. This was exactly the time frame we were looking for, and we will probably do it again next year. The inner harbor area has so many things to do and see that we hardly scratched the surface and look forward to exploring this area again. Although it's a little walk to get there, it is worth it. The marina is clean and well maintained and the management have bent over backwards to make us feel at home, and there is a real feeling of community amoung the boaters who reside here. We'll be back ! >>>>>>>We came back !! Spent the 2009 summer season here. Again, loved this marina.

A good place to see Baltimore from!, 2009-06-09
Captain: , Chesapeake Bay, MD (311)

Great location and well run marina. Floating docks and even a floating pool (on a barge). It's a healthy walk to inner harbor but very doable. Check out the Visual Arts Musuem just down the street and the Musuem of Industry next door. No water Taxi available on site when we where there. We like the place.

Great location, 2008-11-24
Captain: , Bermuda (219)

Spent three nights here in Nov 08. Basic facilities, but good floating docks with security and very friendly live-aboards. Walk to all the bars & restaurants of Fells Point (historical area of Baltimore) and taxi or walk all along the boardwalk to inner harbor, aquarium etc. Great stop.

Outstanding facility, 2007-07-11
Captain: , Baltimore (51)

Professionally managed by Coastal Properties, large staff runs a clean and secure facility. Excellent security includes multiple cameras and roving Wackenhut guards. Staff is responsive and energetic. Diverse residents range from clearly affluent to comfortably middle class. Heads/Showers are squeaky clean. Location is just outside the noisy Inner Harbor yet very convenient walking/water taxi distance from center of tourism.
