Reviews for Bahama Bay Marina
Not open for public use, 2016-12-26

Pulled in here when we had a mechanical issue, seas on the outside were 3' to 5' + but the channel entrance immediately eliminated the sea state on the outside.
Channel is shoaled in parts to 3' at high so be careful.
Well protected cove with a few good anchoring possibilities talked with a young man who said the marina is not open anymore.

We stayed the from end of September to end of May.
If you don't want to be with the very occupied places and with the tourists, it's a good place.
It is just behind the old Howard Hughues Xanadu Hotel. The beach is one of the nicest one I saw.
The entrance of the channel is not well announce. The posts in the water don't have lights... You must come in at high tide in broad day light. The channel itself is not maintain, the dept at high tide is about 7 feet total. There is sand bank on each part in different places. We saw big changes in dept during our stay there. The channel lost about 1-2 feet in 6 months. There is big rocks on each side of the entrance that can be dangerous(we ran aground) Be carefull of the wind, since there is no protection from walls, it might pushes the boat on one or the other side.
Wi-Fi is free and good, we would do Skype and Netflix... I suggest a Wi-Fi booster.
Docks are old and ours fell in the water, bolts are rusty, wood is not in good shape. Some plank don't hold in place, were shoes.
Electricity is not available at every dock, as water.
Water is free and good.
Electricity is a fix fee of 30$ per month but there is no meter...
Restroom and shower are clean. There is 2 restroom and they provide a key.
Washing machine and dryer are doing ok, 1,25$ per load each.
There is a grocery store walk distance, 1 mile. Best prices in town. Local place, with a BTC office for cell phone, laudromat and a bar!
For the price (210$ per month), you wont find better place. But if you are looking for entertainment with pool, bar, restaurant on site, this is not the best place for you. People are very nice (Kim) and helped us on many aspects. 3 stars is only because of the state of the channel and docks. Otherwise it would be a 5 stars place for us!

anchor and save, 2014-03-05

anchorage is great, even in 20knot winds from most directions as is surrounded by reefs but strong currents so rwo anchors a must. the resort is great for free use of hobby cat, gym, showers, SUP even if you are only intending to use the restaurant and not staying in the marina

Getting Better, 2012-12-28
Captain: , Port Ludlow (60)

Property in realatively good shape although little touches like TP in the heads is sometimes missed as is soap in the heads. Staff friendly and helpful although being given a down wind slip with a twenty-five knot breeze blowing is a wonder. Great location and easy enterance. Everything worked for us. Bar and Grill good.

Marina Update, 2012-12-09
Captain: , Australia (137)

Fixed back in wooden docks with stern and side walkway (some 20ft long). 15 ft wide docks some 20+ft wide. Old docks but adequate. Very quiet basin well removed from tourist attractions. Attractive monthly rate of $210 incls water, wifi plus power metered at 40 cents kwh. Fixed daily rate $45 and weekly rate $175 includes power, water and wifi. Be careful with approach channel depths at other than near high tide.
