Reviews for Atlantis Marina and Yacht Club
No Service, No WiFi, Broken Pump-Out, 2017-07-09
Captain: , Gulf Harbour, FL (21)

We had reservations and I talked with the marina staff on the day of our arrival. She assured me the staff would still be here when we expected to arrived between 4 & 5 pm. As we approached Great Kills Harbor, we called the marina multiple times on the telephone, VHF 16, and VHF 72. No answer on anything. We were earlier than expected, found an empty slip and docked ourselves. I went to the office to check in, but office was closed at 4:15 pm. A local boater called someone for me. One office staff came back in about 15 minutes. Back on the boat I tried to login to their wifi network. It was not even turned on! I called the office to ask them to turn on the marina network. The marina staff had already left after checking me in. I left a voice message asking them to call me when the wifi was fixed. That was 2 days ago. The wifi still does not work and they never called me back. This morning another local boat came to the finger pier beside us to use the pump-out pump. It did not work. They went to the office to find out when it would be fixed, but at 10 am the office was still closed. I called and left another voice message asking when the pump-out was going to be fixed. No one has returned this call and no one has come to look at the pump. I stopped by the office about 30 minutes later. One person was in the process of opening the office. I explained about the wifi and pump-out problems. She did not have a clue. Said someone else should be there shortly. Promised to check on both issues and call me. Six hours later and no one has given me a call back. The lack of staff and lack of maintenance is a real issue at Atlantis Marina.

Protected harbour; great floating docks & staff, 2015-08-06

We stayed here for a week to get props repaired on our 54' m/v. Bianca took good care of us & did a great job staying on top of the propshop & getting the repair expedited. Great new docks.
You are within 1 block of 5 great restaurants and easy walking distance to the metro bus stop. A few blocks more to the train station.
We went into New York City several times & had a great time. Be sure to visit the observatory on the new World Trade Center. Get $30 ticket online to reserve your time slot. It is worth the trip.
For provisioning, Frank & Sal Italian Market is around 5 blocks from the marina and a wonderful, old fashioned neighborhood Italian grocery. It's worth the walk just to get a custom smoothie.

They are back in business , 2013-08-01

The docks and equipment are all new. Electricity is only 208 volt, the pump-out is self-serve and there is no dockhand so the 3$/feet is on the high side. Staff is friendly and informed us of restaurants (3 within 5 minutes walk) and groceries (15 minutes walk). Diesel is expensive in the harbor.

Good stop for fishermen, 2013-07-08
Captain: , Riverview Marine Services Inc. Catskill, NY (148)

Stopped here on a fishing trip for 2 nights Super sheltered, very near Michaels bait and tackle (across the street opens at 6 AM) clean restrooms well lighted docks with power and water. Not much in the way of other services but I wasn't looking for any. Price was high but expected for the big apple.

$3. a foot, no dockhands and the office closes at 4?, 2013-06-05
Captain: , Wickford, RI (386)

Stopped here on our way home to RI from FL after the long run up from Cape May.
They did take a cc# over the phone, but with no dockhands and an office that closes at 4pm the value equasion is just not there.
The docks are new as they must have been taken out by hurricane Sandy in the fall.
The is a club bar that had a noisy group of drunks who migrated down the dock after the bar closed and kept us up late after a long day on the water.
If the Admiral had told me they were charging Nantucket money for no service I would have just anchored out in the harbor here....

Good stop over, 2008-10-24
Captain: , Miami, fl (3666)

stopped there on the way south in oct. 08, nothing to write home about.. Just a place to spend the night waiting for the run down the coast.
