Reviews for Ashtabula Yacht Club
What a nice Surpize!, 2015-10-09
Captain: , Buffalo, NY (50)

Im a newbie Capt and it was our first time to Ashtabula from Buffalo,
I was a little afraid looking at the chart, but my fault really, very easy to get to.
Lift bridges arent as scary as I thought!
Facilities were nice and clean, showers , laundry.
Transient dockage was easy. Easy walk to the town, loved Classy revitalized Bridge st , very cool, nice shops and reastaruants
and well if u are a Thrift shopper like me, there is a terrific huge Goodwill facility right up the street
pick up some goodies there!

we will be back next season!
I gave it 4 stars, cuz it seemed pretty well unmanned, but was able to contact the Commodore by phone, nice guy!
frankly considering the town and expeirence i give my stay a 5!

Brought my wife and kids up for a weekend get a way and had a superb time. The club members were over the top helpful and friendly. Excellent heads and shower facilities. Lots to go eat, explore, and see locally.

Friendly and accomodating, 2015-06-10
Captain: , Rocky River, Ohio (20)

Early season transit from Toronto to Cleveland. Allowed a car drop prior to arrival, and no hassle about where to tie up for several days. Low key, member run club. Very friendly and helpful. The Commodore called me back with the gate code on a SUnday evening to allow an early m orning derpature. I will not hesitate to stay there again.

Great Stop On South Shore, 2014-08-10
Captain: , St. Clair, Michigan (456)

Good docks and they were able to accomodate us even though they had a scheduled sailboat rendezvous. Got a ride in to the Sav-A-Lot Supermarket by the dock master. Grounds are well maintained and the showers were very clean. Good number of local restaurants within easy walking distance. We were able to get a ride from one of the members to the seafood restaurant, excellant meal. Bascule bridge opens on the hour and half-hour so time your entry coming off the lake.

Great folks, 2013-08-06
Captain: , traverse city (120)

Friendly members, offers of transportation, very clean showers, etc, convenient access off river, and accept non- yacht club members

Very friiendly club, 2013-08-04
Captain: , Britt, Ontario (691)

We arrived at the yacht club mid-afternoon and several people on shore followed us along to show us where to dock. Once we tied up, we had more than one person offer us the use of their cars if we needed to shop and made sure we knew where to find everthing at the club...awesome group of people. Good deep water and easy to get in to.
