Reviews for April Point Marina
Nice place to hang, 2013-08-20
Captain: , Sacramento (173)

April Point is part of the Painter's Lodge fishing resort. You can tie up here, take a free 3 minute shuttle across the strait and go fishing with a guide to catch Tyee at the mouth of Campbell River (join Zane Grey's Tyee Club). Or you can just hang out at the novel resort.

The marina is a nice place to stay. The dock staff are great. The only reason is doesn't get five stars is because the docks are falling apart, literally. There are some pretty sketchy ties in this place and they need to make some investments soon.

When there, go to the April Point Lodge for dinner. Good food and about a 10 minute easy walk. Incredible vistas worth the price of the food.

There is a very good store in Quathiaski. The dock staff will tell you it takes 25 minutes to walk there. Budget 40 and you will be OK or get the staff to drive you. And incredibly nice Canadians will stop and offer you a lift!

Good food, nice marina (but watch for drift wood). People are great, fun water shuttle to painters lodge on Vancouver island. Saw a barred owl while walking near the marina, so keep an eye out while you are there.

Great Dining, 2008-03-04

If you are looking for a great dining experience, go no further!

Great Re-Charge, 2007-06-29
Captain: , Gig Harbor, WA (50)

Great marina and resort to recharge your batteries after being on the hook for a while. Marina offers everything from laundry to Wi-Fi. Will accept boats up to 150', but reservations are definatly recomended.
