The entrance to Annapolis is quite easy to navigate, although shoals do exist. As you round Greenbury Point honor the yellow day mark A. From the A mark you can follow the fairway marked by cans, bells, and nuns for about 3/4 mile. This will allow you to clear Horn Point shoal to port (FL. 6 sec. PA). The Severn River and the U.S. Naval Academy will be directly in front of you. Bearing to port you will enter Annapolis Harbor. At the split channel marker bear left leaving the mooring field to starboard. Approaching the Spa Creek Bridge, the Annapolis City Marina is the large gray and red facility to port.

Reviews for Annapolis City Marina, Ltd.
Nice spot near old town Annapolis, 2016-11-03
Captain: , Green Cove Springs, FL (500)

Turned into this marina to resupply. Nice and quiet marina a short walk to the very cute old town of Annapolis. The bathrooms were wonderful and laundry here is only $1.50 for wash and $1.50 for dryer. The internet is only strong by the red office building so if that is important to you see if you can get a mooring close to their office. We were too far away but we only had to walk over and sit on a bench and it was strong. Safeway is a 5 mile bike ride from the marina and there are tons of restaurants and shops in walking distance.

Very nice marina, 2016-08-29
Captain: , Selby Bay (20)

Staff friendly and helpful. Have everything you need for overnight or extended stay.

Nice marina with great staff, 2016-07-17
Captain: , Annapolis (550)

This is the second summer we stayed here. Two months last year and three weeks this year. Dockmaster Jeff and his team do a good job in serving the needs of their customers. The best about this marina is its location in the heart of Annapolis. Less expensive than other marinas downtown, but still pricey. Downside is it can be noisey being next to Spa Creek Bridge and the launch area of Annapolis Yacht Club, which has a summer sailing camp for screaming little kids (but at least we didn't have to put up with the obnoxious boom of the AYC sunset cannon this year.) The other negative is that the marina's wireless Internet barely made it to our dock. Wireless needs a serious upgrade.

Friendly staff, good value, 2016-06-01
Captain: , Honolulu (712)

Spent 12 days here after winter haulout. Great location to Annapolis old town and Naval academy. Eastport area full of marine support facilities and restaurants. Jeff and crew are friendly and helpful. Two week rate was approximately $575...good value. Shower and restroom were a little cramped.

Easy Access Fuel Dock and Great Prices, 2016-05-17
Captain: , Annapolis (411)

The fuel here is cheaper than most, easy approach and the dockhands are helpful and squared away. Small store with ice cream, drinks, and some parts, ice Our friends travel from the Magothy River to get gas here as the savings justifies the trip. Put it on your list. Walking distance to everything. Carroll's Creek Restaurant is on site, off the charts for great food, but you will pay for it. it is still one of our favorites.

June to Oct 2015. Jeff runs a tight ship. All the staff was helpful in every way. Great fuel dock and price.slips can be tight, but I love a challenge. Location and amenities can't be beat.

Fine Place to Stay, 2015-07-27
Captain: , Sarasota, FL (270)

We chose Annapolis City Marina (ACM), which is actually in Eastport, immediately across the Spa River from Annapolis proper, in order to avoid the crowds and noise everpresent on the Annapolis side of the river. Water taxi is always available from the marina (or your boat dock) to take the very short ride over to the Annapolis side.

Comments have been made about difficult maneuvering into slips at ACM. Actually it depends on your boat length. Our 44' trawler was assigned an outside slip, easily entered from the Spa River. Smaller sized boats are placed on the inside slips. It worked well for us. There's so much to see in Annapolis & Eastport. Allow enough time to enjoy.....and don't miss the Boatyard Bar and Grill in Eastport within very short walk from ACM. Go early to get seating.

Great location, great service, 2015-07-12
Captain: , Williamsburg, VA (107)

Our boat was here for a month, June-July 2015 and we had a terrific experience. Location can't be beat...walk to almost everything to see in Annapolis. The dockmaster and all the employees were very friendly and accomodating. They made us feel like we were right at home. Will definitely return.

Very Helpful, 2015-04-28
Captain: , Portland, Maine (845)

We went in early for fuel after being rudely rejected at Yacht Basin. Fuel prices are a little higher here but will always go here from now on. Friendly service will always get my boat bucks.

Fantastic Marina!, 2015-03-07
Captain: , Annapolis (30)

Very easy approach and check in at Fuel dock. Try to get an outside slip because with the inside slips there is very little room to maneuver. You can walk to downtown or use the water taxi to city dock. Great places to eat such as Carrol's Creek Cafe only a few steps away. Friendly staff. If possible try and call ahead to reserve a slip especially on busy event weekends.

A great stop, 2013-05-19
Captain: , Rockport, Texas (130)

Convenient to Annapolis historic district and the Academy. Water taxi at this marina which is helpful. In addition, there is a Friday night dock party hosted by the marina. Everyone here, staff and local boat owners, were helpfull and friendly. We had a great stay!

great place to live, 2013-02-12
Captain: , baltimore (10)

Lived here a couple years. Jeff and Christina are always friendly and accomodating to slipholders. Sheltered parking wtih validation for guests of slipholders. Occasional social events with free food and bevarages. In the past few hurricanes, Jeff hopped between boats fixing their lines and keeping them off pilings. Winter water. Winter pumpouts from cart available. Expensive good food nearby at Boatyard, Lewnes, Charthouse. Cozier bar for locals, Davis's a few blocks down. Nearest supermarket is Giant on bay ridge rd. Nearest marine supply store is Fawcett's, accross from Giant, next to West Marine.

The location is amazing!, 2012-06-28
Captain: , Marco Island, FL (1145)

The marina is great...people are wonderful. But the location is unbeatable! The Annapolis Historic District is just over the Spa Creek Bridge. The marina has tight quarters but it's totally worth it. Also, the heads are clean and nicely air-conditioned.

Difficult in/out, 2012-06-27
Captain: , Robbinsvill, NJ (148)

Great place to stop for fuel and pump out. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. If staying there, try to get an outside slip, otherwise it is a hair raising experience getting into inside slips where there is very little room to maneuver. Also watch for little kids sailing in and out of Annapolis Yacht Club adjacent to Marina.

A tight fit, 2012-06-20
Captain: , Bowleys Quarters, MD (160)

Getting into an assigned slip can be quite a challenge given the layout and width of the docks. The staff was very pleasant and accomodating. The proximity to Eastport, the Boatyard Bar and Grille as well as a short walk into Annapolis across the Spa Creek Bridge can't be beat.

Great place to fill up., 2012-04-16
Captain: , Forked Creek (10)

I pretty much use them exclusively for my gas. Easy to dock, friendly staff and great access.

Consistently good experience, 2012-03-06
Captain: , Annapolis (10)

We've kept our boat here for the last two years, and have found the people very friendly, and the fuel clean. Re-did the heads / showers in 2011, and nice to have basic cold beverages at the dock shop. Slips can be challenging to get in and out off (some are tight and can have a bit of current).

Ridiculous Policy on Water, 2012-02-08
Captain: , Mayo, MD (424)

Won't let you use the water without paying, even if you fill up. Attitude is like "just give us the money for the fuel....we don't care about you!" Dock hands can be downright nasty about it....Wonder how much $ they lose on fuel due to their stingy policy.

Great location near center, 2011-11-02
Captain: , Westbrook, CT (453)

People were very helpful, shoehorning us into a slip which was really tight (6 inches on either side) where we successfully weathered a Noreaster. Facilities clean, washing machines cranky

Enjoyed our Stay, 2011-09-15
Captain: , Ambridge, PA (109)

We were happily surprised that this small, urban, marina, located 100 yards from a busy lift bridge, turned out to be as quiet as it was. During our two night stay over Labor Day weekend we were treated to great aromas from the nearby restaurants, a live jazz concert from one of the nearby yacht clubs, and some enthusiastic racing crews coming and going. Typical urban stuff, but not overbearing or offensive.

The facilities are in good condition and clean, and the staff is attentive and helpful. Jeff the dock hand needs an Honorable Mention: Here is a guy who loves what he does and does it well. The basins are smallish, even for our 30 footer. If you have one of those sailboats that is possessed by demons when motoring in reverse, this marina might not be for you.

The location is literally steps from the Eastport business district, and a short walk over the bridge to downtown Annapolis, Ego Alley, and the Naval Academy. The water taxi stops at the fuel dock, it%u2019s a $2 ride to Annapolis. There is a nice little farmer%u2019s market on Sunday morning just across the bridge next door to where Fawcett%u2019s used to be.

We anjoyed our stay, and we will stay again the next time we are in Annapolis.

nice, clean and friendly, 2011-08-15
Captain: , NORTH EAST, MD (125)

This marina is within walking distance of the downtown attractions (restaurants and pubs). The facility is very clean and the staff are friendly. I plan on getting a slip there again next year.

Winter fuel!, 2011-02-08
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (1342)

ACM is one of three places in Annapolis for fuel: ACM, Annapolis Yacht Basin, and Annapolis Landing Marina (on Back Creek). ACM is where the government boats (DNR, EPA, Harbormaster, etc) get fuel in winter so the turnover is good and water in the fuel is low. Access is straightforward and the staff is attentive.

Not too good, 2010-11-22
Captain: , Houston, Texas (164)

We bought 40 gallons of fuel, however, they would not let us fill up our boat water tanks. Not too good on the public relations.

Annapolis City Marina, 25 Oct 2010, 2010-10-27
Captain: , Stuart, Florida (599)

Nice convenient marina to everything. Boatyard Grill and Ruth Chris are a stone's throw. Walk to town is just across Spa Creek Bridge. Same comments as others as to fairway width (you will be working to get in and out). Bathrooms/showers top notch. Staff helped us get tied up. Liked it. You will too when you get in the slip.

NO FREE WATER, 2010-08-23
Captain: , Fort Lauderdale (156)

We filled up our diesel tanks here, went to get the water hose and were informed there would be a $5 charge to fill our tanks. I told the attendant we only needed 20 gallons but no go. Between Miami and Annapolis, this is the first time we have been charged for water.

dc august 2010, 2010-08-09
Captain: , middle river md (10)

very clean facility . very friendly staff . location is excellent and the water taxi stops by regularly if you want to use it for $2. fairways to slips are tight but once in, it was great.

Nice, in-town marina, 2010-07-26
Captain: , Cornwall PA (421)

This is a smallish marina, well-kept, with friendly staff and convenient fuel dock. Their slips are very subject to the currents, so be a little careful pulling in and out! Once you are in, you are walking distance to the heart of old Annapolis, and the dozens of restaurants and shops. Very convenient to town.

Good Place to Get Fuel, 2009-10-04
Captain: , South Portland, ME (537)

There are not many places in Annapolis that sell diesel fuel. This is the least expensive that I found. Lower price than most places in the mid to upper bay. They only have 7 slips for 50 foot boats that are all on annual lease so not usually a good place to stay. The serive is outstanding.
