Reviews for Anegada Reef Hotel
Lobster was not what I expected., 2015-02-24
Captain: , Apponaug R.I. (818)

We bought 2, 2.5 lbs lobsters for $52 each. I know I'm from Rhode Island but these looked pretty short on the advertised size. Additionally the flavor was very "light". The view and service get 5 stars. The lobster gets 1 star.

Stayed here from Christmas 2012!, 2013-12-09

Anagada is one of those special places in the BVI. We had our Christmas moored up and eating dinner at the Anagada Reef Hotel...toes in the sand! Yummy lobster please!

If you make the effort to reach Anegada you sure don't want to waste it by spending time at one of the other new establishments that have popped up on the beach. Go to the Hotel. Established back when there was nothing but sand here, they still remember what the island should be like. Vivian, Lorraine and Lawrence are the perfect island hosts. It's very casual. If Janet isn't behind the bar just open the gate and help youself. She's somewhere around. The rooms are light and airey if you are staying ashore. Around 5 most of the local lobster fishermen will be hanging out. Buffet shows up once in a blue moon to do some bonefishing and has been convinced to play for his meals. You have to see this place.

We had our quintessential lobster dinner here. As advertised it was fantastic. Pricey, but we knew that going into it. The bar is great to just hang at and watch the sun go down over the Virgin Islands.
