Reviews for Anchorage Marina
Great location to leave the boat, 2016-07-31
Captain: , Naples, FL (682)

Anchorage Marina is well protected from Lake Michigan swells at the top of Lake Macatawa although there is some surprisingly noticeable wake effect from vessels using the channel at the south of the lake. The marina is easy to get to and the staff are very helpful with assistng docking, as are the resident boaters on neighbouring slips. We didn't try to reserve a slip until the same day and the marina aslked us to come to the fuel dock first for slip assignment and payment. Fair enough.
The marina looks new and has all concrete piles and docks that are easy for suspending the boat against strong winds. The bathroom facilities are moderrm, airconditioned and clean with lots of hotwater. The wifi was vey good, even at the pier extremity where we were berthed. There is also a pool and laundry. Very good value for money.
We left our boat here for five days while we travelled for family commitments and had no problems. Hertz rental dropped us off after we turned in our car.

We spent 11 days here as I had to fly home for a week. I wanted a place my wife would feel comfortable and safe. I also wanted a marina where the boat was very secure.
This is the place we draw 5'7" and had plenty of depth under us in a slip on the outside of A dock
Restaurant food and bar was great and Enterprise was not far away.
Holland is a neat town and this marina is a jewel make sure you check it out when in the area you won't be sorry

Excellent facilities. We left the boat for one week and had no problems. The staff is great. It is a distance from town, but the convenience store at the marina is well stocked.

Great Marina with very accomodating staff, 2012-10-20
Captain: , Detroit (647)

We have stayed here on both of our Great Loop trips (first time in 2009) and have found this marina to be an excellent place to stay. Staff is very nice and will work with you to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Restaurant is very good - great 'wings night' on Wednesdays. Restrooms and showers are always clean. While it is a bit of distance from downtown Holland there are many great places both restaurants, marine store, party stores and State Parks all within walking distance.

Can I give it a four and a half?, 2012-09-04
Captain: , St. Louis, MO (1777)

This is a very nice marina with great shore side amenities: beautiful club house with restaurant and pool and if not for the following demerits I too would agree that its five star material.
But...
The docks are narrow and kind of cramped.
It is very noisy being close to a very busy boat ramp.
Nothing else around it.
read on...
We enjoyed ourselves here very much and we would definitely come here again but the positives which were very strong just did not add up to an overwhelmingly stellar experience. The club house is great. The restaurant had great affordable food. Transients have access to the pool and everyone was very friendly. Great wifi. But the staff was a little vague on providing little things like a welcome packet with local information on how to get around to Holland and other sights.
So my review is one of those odd ones that I have to say that it is certainly better than four star but just not quite a five star.
Do not hesitate to stay here. You'll like it very much.

We own slips in two marinas in St. Joseph, MI and one slip at Anchorage where we keep our 35' express cruiser. We have also travelled extensively in Lake Michigan. Anchorage is by far one of the best marinas around.

Nice restaurant, 2012-04-05

Anchorage is nice and clean. Nice docks and friendly helpful staff. The restaurant in the yacht club is very nice.

The Anchorage Marina is actually the Anchorage Marina Yacht Club, and you don't have to have reciprocal privleges to stay. Holland is our favorite of the small towns along the coast, but is more than a walk away, maybe a long bike ride. There are smoth, wide bike trails to the beach park and to town. But, two of the locals at the marina offered us the loan of their car. Great value for the price. Too many people miss Holland because it does not have a state marina. For 15 cents a foot more, this marina/yacht club is a big step upscale.
