Reviews for Anchorage Marina
Spectacular, 2017-08-22
Captain: , Anchorage Marina (10)

The staff is very pleasant and affable. The location can not be beat as the views are beautiful and everything one could want is within a 10 min walk.

Very Nice Marina, très belle marina , 2017-07-26
Captain: , Quebec (10)

Best Spot, right in the middle of the action!, 2017-07-12
Captain: , BALTIMORE (10)

Spent the week of the 4th at the Marina and had a blast! Went with several other boats, some all adults, some with teenagers and some with little ones! Was something there for everyone. They had a complimentary breakfast on Saturday morning that had fresh fruit and lots more. Spent the days at the pool with the younger kids. teenagers went to the movies at night and walked the Harbor. Satuday night they had a cookout and live music and the adults had a great time, maybe a little too much fun if you know what I mean.

Restrooms were clean, staff was so helpful and am thinking of getting a slip for next summer!

This Marina Is A Dump, 2017-06-25
Captain: , San Diego (300)

This marina needs a lot or love to get it back in shape. The docks are all dilapidated and falling apart. They are covered in bird poop from end to end. The staff is all very nice but some of them a bit shady. We were looking forward to swimming in the pool but when I walked down the long dock where it was located there was a sign saying it was closed. The girl in the office said they were waiting for a pump and didn't know when it would be fixed. The whole reason we went there was because it was cheap and they had a pool. We decided to leave after a few hours to a better marina downtown. The reason I gave it two stars is because they had a nice boaters lounge and the staff was kind. They have a lot of work to do before I would ever consider returning.

Good Marina in a great location, 2017-06-12
Captain: , Mooloolaba (692)

Agree with parts of previous reviews. Good security, good showers and laundry. WiFi in lounge was excellent, very hi-speed. Floating docks are old but we had no problems with them.
The harbor is filthy at times, a Baltimore problem. This location can be noisy. There is an earthen mole that runs out to the west of the marina and this is frequented by homeless men who chose to have conversations at the top of their voices at 0200 in the morning on 2 of the 6 nights we were there. Also a Baltimore problem. They were corteous but noisy and we never felt threatened by them.
Fells Point area has a good vibe and easy walk to many restaurants and free public transport. Baltimore can be a dangerous City, we felt quite safe in this area.
Dock staff were helpful and we saw nothing else in Baltimore that we thought we would have preferred.

Nice, but no WiFi at the docks., 2016-09-18
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (310)

Great marina with close promimity to Safeway and West Marine. However, there is no WiFi or cable TV and the dock. Henderson's Wharf is a better bet.

Fantastic location, lousy wifi, 2016-08-26
Captain: , Bayfield, WI and the ICW (1390)

I would rate them 6 stars if wifi worked with any regularity. It is located in the lounge, not marina-wide, so one walks all the way in there to usually find it unworkable. Otherwise this place has the best location of anyplace I've been in 45K cruising miles. Very good laundry, rest rooms, security and lounge, lousy library, dirty harbor, great wake protection, small and clean swimming pool. I don't care what their docks look like. Helpful staff.

Nice location , 2016-06-29
Captain: , Tempe, AZ (240)

Safeway across the street and about a 10 minute walk to the water taxi, which you can ride all day for $14 ($7 if you are 65+). A 15 minute walk gets you to the Charm City Circulator, a free bus system all through the Inner Harbor, National Aquarium, Little Italy and other tourist attractions. Wifi available only in the clubhouse, and it was out when I needed to log in for a meeting. Odd that this Marina is an Active Captain sponsor as one of the owners specifically told us that "transient business is not really our focus." In which case we wish they would not misrepresent their services. The oddest one is the manager who thought the rate per foot should be charged based on the number of feet of the slip he assigns rather than the length of your boat! The other 3 marinas in the Inner Harbor area are owned by one company, so all rates are the same. At 2.50 per foot of the boat, that may work out to less than paying $1.90 per foot of slip size. Next time we will use Lighthouse Point Marina, which is next door.

Horrible Place, 2016-06-10
Captain: , Baltimore (10)

Rude, Dirty, old! I have never been more appauld at the treatment we received at this marina! Boaters are typically friendly, helpful people. Not at this place! The office staff traets you like a criminal. After we were finally issued our gate pass and slip assignment we were disgusted by the trach in the water and the condition of the rotting piers! We will never visit here again.

Great, secure location, 2016-02-22
Captain: , Fells Point, MD (98)

Nicely located, this Co-op Marina is not really designed for the transient boater. All the slips are owned by someone. The office will rent an owners slip for a commission but renting transient slips is not their primary purpose, unlike most marinas. It is possible to rent a slip directly from an owner, usually at a lower price.

But once here, it's an easy walk to West Marine, good hardware store, restaurants, and a barber shop. The boaters lounge was remodeled last summer. Short walk to the Water Taxi stop and there is a pool in the summer. Also has many live-aboards.The Marina is 30 years old +/-. The docks are undergoing a massive rebuild and refloat, but it is a multi-year process. Transient slips rates from the Marina seem to vary depending on the current board of directors. But usually they will be lower than other Baltimore Marinas. And they usually have vacancies.

Not a first Choice Marina, 2015-08-16
Captain: , Houston TX (70)

Could not reach the dock master via VHF or by phone, went to slip C5 which we were assigned when we made the reservation and they put the boat that arrived ahead of us in it so I called out again and got a dock hand that put us on B dock, rotted piers that had wobbly cleats, large patches of weeds, spider webs, disgusting.

Long in Tooth, 2015-08-10
Captain: , Frog Mortar Creek, MD (180)

Marina is located in the Canton area, close to grocery store, Starbucks, restaurants, etc. Nice water front jogging/walking sidewalk. Appears to be a vibrant area populated with expensive/upscale water front residences. Has a small clean pool.

Marina is a large secure condo/co-op facility, approx 25 years old. Transients are charged by boat length in the appropriate sized slip, but if you opt for a larger slip closer to office/facilities you are charged by size of slip. Aged floating docks, appear to have been recently repaired. Bath facilities could have been cleaner. Water quality in this harbor was terrible. Debris/oil floating like a sewer.

A lot of Bang for the Buck, 2015-07-31
Captain: , Bodkin Creek Md. (227)

Marina staff and slipholders very Friendly. Plenty of docking assistance. Close to great restaurants and bars. Water taxi close by. Clean pool and nice lounge. Clean bathrooms and showers. Some of the piers need repair but they are working on them. Very secure place as all piers behind locked gates. I would stay there again.

Terrible Docks, 2015-07-05
Captain: , Deltaville VA (34)

Stayed at The Anchorage Marina June 25, 2015.

Convenient location. 30 min walk to inner harbor/aquarium. Very nice lounge with couches, big screen tv, wifi (only available in the lounge), and ice ($1/small bag). Nice/clean bath/shower rooms. Ok laundry facility.

These are floating docks constructed with plastic floatation chambers and wood decking. The wood decking was completely rotten. Plants and moss growing in some areas out of the rotten wood. Ineffective patchwork repairs. Our assigned slip had parts breaking away and dangling in the water. Nails and splinters a risk.

I would not bring my boat here again until the docks are replaced. This decking is beyond repair... By comparison, BMC (next door to the east) has floating concrete docks and looked remarkably spiffy compared to the Anchorage.

Excellent marina, 2014-10-12
Captain: , Clayton, NY (655)

We stayed here 3 nights. After several days at anchor we knew we needed a wash down pump for our anchor. The clay on the Chesapeake is amazing. We went to the West Marine, 1/4 mi away and it was Thursday which meant we got a port supply discount since we were staying at Anchorage. This saved us 20-25%. We figured that just about paid for the first night's dockage. The heads on the dock are utilitarian but the heads at the office are very nice. There is a good security system. Everyone has a badge to get in the security gate at each dock. We took the bus, $1.20 all day for seniors, down to the inner harbor to walk around. Then we walked back through Fells point, about 45 min. We stopped at Dudas for a delicious, reasonable dinner. Two nights later we walked to O'Donnell square, about 1/2mi away from the marina for another fabulous dinner. The square had a wide variety of eateries. The only disadvantage was their pump-outs were Tuesday and Wednesday so we went next door and pumped out on our way out of the harbour.

Anchorage has gone down hill, 2014-10-08
Captain: , Solomons Island Md (417)

Its been 10 years since last time we stayed at Anchorage. The facility has degraded significantly. The docks decks are rotting out and the attempted repairs are poor. Many of the fingers have flotation issues and list to one side badly. The docks we stayed at were missing lighting on 75 percent of the dock. Thats a safety concern considering the condition of the docks and the trip hazards.
Our stay started on a bad note due to the lack of customer service at the office. We requested a 50 amp service and were placed in the wrong slip with 30 amp service. The attendant was only interested in taking our money and getting back to her lunch. No information on showers, WiFi, luandry or any details on the facility. I try other marinas in Baltimore the next time.

Balto. Sail-a-bration weekend, 2014-09-15
Captain: , Bear Cr,MD (145)

Spent a great weekend in Balto. enjoying the festivities. Saw the Blue Angels, Tall ships, and the best fireworks show ever! we were with a fairly large group and received a discount on slip fees-- $1 per ft. plus elec. as with prior reviews, great location to to ur the city from, water taxi, prominade for walking. Just remember to travel in groups and ask the locals for advice. Stores and resturants/bars are numerous. Plenty of dog walking areas close by too.

Great location, 2014-08-29
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

There are a couple of places with better location, but this is pretty close. Safe walking around. Good security at boat. Other reviews are accurate. Kept baot here for a month while we traveled back home. We felt it was safe here. Water Taxi is very conveinent. Downtown is great to see. Felt safe as long as we took recommended routes suggested by marina/locals. Provisioning is easy. West Marine is local.

First Time Afloat in Baltimore, 2014-08-23
Captain: , St Paul, MN (180)

Selected Anchorage at suggestion of an experienced Baltimore visitor. Reservation and docking handled very professionally. Dock Master Leland was most generous to us and added greatly to our enjoyment of the city.
The waterfront promenade runs right along the docks and provided a great way to bike to Fells Point, Inner Harbor and even Ft McHenry. Easy bus service too.

The Rip Off Marina, 2014-07-02
Captain: , Baltimore (55)

After wintering at this Marina for Five years, they Ripped us off for the $50.00 dollar deposit we gave for gate key cards.
The new management decided that if they can%u2019t find a copy of a receipt for our deposit we must have stole the cards. It couldn%u2019t have been the prior management employees that keep poor records or Ripped off the money.
We will never go back there again!

Follow up on Anchorage Marina Warning:
With the help of Active Captain%u2019s, Jeffrey Siegel and the help of social media, we were able to get our deposit back and have the Marina change their refund policy.
May be we will go back again!

best in Baltimore harbor, 2014-06-30
Captain: , New York (160)

searched for a marina in Baltimore as a base for sailing the Chesapeake; near transportation for commuting to NYC, near shopping, safe and at reasonable fee. Anchorage Marina fits the bill; the staff is friendly and helpful, the location fits my requirements, it is super clean and the docks are in superb even has a BBQ set-up and a pool!....Walking distance to West Marine, supermarket, dining spots etc.

This First Choice should be your Last Choice, 2014-06-17
Captain: , Houston, Texas (970)

The previous reviews are spot on. The operational management of this marina is inept and callous towards transients, which is a shame. This marina has a great location and decent floating docks.Showers and heads are average. No wifi at the docks. They claim there is wifi in the lounge, but due to their foul up, we never got to try it.

We paid for a two night stay at check in. However, after returning to the marina after spending the day at the inner harbor, we returned and the pass key would not let us onto the dock. It had only been activated for one day! Security finally came and let us onto the dock so we could get to our boat. The next morning when we go to the office so that we can get the pass key corrected, the manager has locked himself inside his office , with the pass key machine in his office, so we can't get the key reactivated to use the restrooms or lounge. After waiting at the office for over an hour, we gave up, got security to let us back onto the dock, and we left Baltimore dirty and upset.

Staffing change and pricing increase, 2014-05-27
Captain: , Gulf Breeze, Fl (6909)

I booked a Great Harbour annual meeting and roundevouz here in Jan and was given discount group pricing over the phone. There was nothing in writing. 3 weeks before the meeting there was no record of my prior arrangements. Evidently a large percentage of staff was changed out and there was no record of our group or arrangements and prices had incrreased. They did accomidate
us however at the new increased pricing. I spoke with the President of the BOD and he said if our group would return he would extend us slip rates(less than face dock) for the outside face dock and comp the meeting room charge and to his credit he returned our payment for the meeting room. This is a good marina however it was in turmoil because of the staffing changes and rates increases. I assume the dust will settle and our group hopes to return next year.

Nobody closed...vhf unanswered. See update., 2014-05-16
Captain: , baltimore md (644)

We have stayed at this marina long term in previous years and had a good experience. Not so much this year,May 2014, We fortunately knew our slip number and location so docking and tie up was self administered and went well. I headed to the office through the "open" security gate only to find the office locked and vacant. Of course the open gate is closed now and a pass card is needed. BTW the office door had posted hours "close at 6:00 pm" with a smaller message stating- starts May 15. No current hours liisted. A very nice couple let me in the gate. I did check with the security guard about a gate key for the evening and said he could get me a temporary one if i gave him my drivers license and a credit card..I don't think so. Next morning..ah hah, the office is open. I Popped in to register so we could get gate cards and a parking pass. I was informed that there is a $50.00 deposit. We have paid this deposit the last 2 previous years. It never comes back. Lovette informed me somebody else has our gate cards and shows me a post-it with two numbers on it?? I just want to get in the gate, surely they have a spare cards. I do get cards and NO they don't open the gate. Back to the office again and a fix is applied and I'm in. I did tell them i was getting a little irratated. No info provided about wifi or other amenities. Will we stay? Probably. We like our very organized slip owner. The location is great. If you have a car parking could be limited. The docks are really showing their age. On 5/14/2014 I had the opportunity to diiscuss my "check in concerns" with two board members, one being the president. They are putting together a "check in package" that along with a call should assure a smooth arrival. I thank them for listening to me. Give them a try I don't think you'll be disappointed.

One of Baltimore's Best, 2014-01-09
Captain: , Chester, MD (225)

OK, Its not downtown. But from here you can walk to all the fun places in Canton and Fells Point and a nearby water taxi stop that will take you anywhere in the inner harbor area. Nice facilties with floating docks (rare in most of the Bay). Prices are lower than most area facilities for superior amenities.

Review of Marina, 2013-10-07
Captain: , Quoset Daviseville Naval Yacht Club (250)

Giving this a 3 because bathrooms need some updating but they were always clean and very useable.

Gas 4.18, Diesel 4.08 in area marina, did not see price at this marina because of the way we entered the marina.

Security is by electric gate and very good, restaurants galore, every kind available you can think of. West Marina, Safeway, and Ace Hardware store either up street or directly on other other side of street. Great place to walk along water front, walked the area after dark and always felt safe.

Good helpful staff, overall condition of marina is very good.

Great stop with plenty of opportunities to get off boat.

Slip fee $1.97 a foot, not Boat US Discount.

1st Time & It Was a Great Experience, 2013-10-06
Captain: , Browns Cove, MD (402)

We came here for the weekend to attend the annual Fells Point Festival that is held on the waterfront very close by. This marina is so well situated for access to the Inner Harbor, Fells Point and Canton with restaurants, bars, grocery, wine, Starbucks, etc and a West Marine a block away that for these reasons alone I gave it a 5. When we arrived there were 2 dock hands who provided excellent directions to our slip with full finger piers on both sides. When we got to our slip the guys were ready and waiting for us and did a fantastic job of guiding us in, tying our lines, connecting shore power and welcoming us. Again, great compared to some we visit! The facilities are in fine condition and well maintained. I noticed a few of the things other reviewers mentioned, but not anything that looked neglected, unsafe or dangerous. It's a marina, in an outdoor setting so to me, the conditions of the property were average but staff, location, facilities and access far outweighed anything else. We did have another boat with us that was assigned a side tie on the outside of the long outer pier and during the day there are some inconsiderate boaters and dinghy users who exceed the 6 mph limit and threw wakes. Nothing excessive to cause damage, but definitely an annoyance. I'd say ask for a slip inside if that would bother you.

Close in and good provisioning, 2013-08-18
Captain: , Austin, TX (346)

Great layout of floating docks with double fingers (a rare luxury). The wood surfaces of the docks are getting old. The marina does some patchings but they are apporaching the end of life of the deck surface which is 2x4s on their sides (so originally very substantial). The marina has nice laundry, restrooms and showers, and a very large boaters lounge. Only parking is inside a gated area and requires an electronic pass. West Marine, Safeway groceries, and Ace hardware are all about 2 blocks from marina. There are several restaurants in the neighborhood as well. Little Italy and the Inner Harbor are a couple of miles away which can be a plesant walk along the waterfront promanade. Or you can take the water taxi. If you like walking it is probably faster unless you want to get to the south side of the Inner Harbor or Ft. McHenery. The National Aquarium at the Inner Harbor is fantastic.

We need to leave the boat for several days for a side trip inland. So greatly appreciated the attractive monthly rate.

We did have a little difficulty raising the staff on our approach to the marinia and the promised docking assistance never materalized. The staff did to a good job of keeping the facilities clean, and there were ongoing efforts at repairs.

There is a nice floating swimming pool on dock C. The hours are restricted as they provide a lifeguard when open. Nice place on a hot afternoon.

Not bad..., 2013-07-10
Captain: , Annapolis, Md (130)

The marina itself is pretty nice. All floating docks, nice bathrooms and amenities. Nice setting and close to little italy and the harbor, as well as Canton area. There is an Outback across the street and grocery store as well, so quick meal and provisioning is easy. That said....the staff left something to be desired. I stronly communicated that we have a 42ft boat and asked if the slips were easy to get in and out of. The lady I spoke with seemed unsure what I was talking about and said "'s very easy to park and get out of the marina"....When we got there, they had us in a slip that was all the way in the back, double dog-leg and only a 40 ft fairway. We were in 15 knot winds and with no piling to grab hold of we could not get in the slip and were blown almost into the concrete wall. Fortunatel there were plenty of helpful boaters there who came to our rescue and pulled our lines against the last slip on the dock. It was then i realized we were sitting in a sea of trash. Literally. floating trash all around us. I was afraid to even turn on the AC pump. The other issue was we had family meeting us there and surprisingly the marina has no parking. 650 slips and no parking at all. They had to wander for half an hour and then park illegally while we rushed off the boat to get to them. If you are planning to have guests meet you bear this in mind. Prices were fair, and all in all it is an okay play to transient.

New Hardware store 1 block away, 2013-04-16
Captain: , Baltimore, MD (110)

Anchorage is our home port and we've always enjoyed the proximity to Safeway, Starbucks, and numerous restaurants in Canton, Fells Point, and Inner Harbor. But, to our surprise, a large ACE Hardware opened across the street while we were away on our winter cruise. What a treat!!!

Can't Beat Monthly Rate, 2012-10-22
Captain: , Macatawa Michigan (1144)

We stopped here on our way back from Maine, headed South. As it was October, we were only going to stay a few days. The weather was beautiful and days turned to weeks to a monthly. We paid less here monthly than any marina we have been to in 10,000 nm. Canton (neighborhood) has Mamas On The Half Shell and fun football bars. Whole Foods about a mile or so away (easy bike ride). Fells Point Restaurants good (One Eyed Mikes-can't get a more interesting place). Ditto all said previously re clean, friendly, well maintained. Two bathrooms/showers -- one on shore and one at end of main dock. Newer washer/dryer (3).Very dog friendly!!

Very nice marina., 2012-04-17
Captain: , Balmer (150)

We stayed here for years. Very nice facilities. Nice pool in the water. A vast array of bars and restaurants nearby. Safeway across the street. As the place is a condo marina mangement changes with periodic ellections as do policies and procedures. Generally they were fine but on occasion the boat inspections became intrusive for some of my neighbors.

Best place in Baltimore, 2012-02-05
Captain: , Hollywood, Maryland (40)

As has already been stated: close restaurants, bars, grocery, West Marine (three blocks away and VERY helpfull) and very frendly people (onboard other boats, ashore and the Marina staff.) They've put up streamers to keep ducks and gulls off of the docks (no more poo on the docks) and the facilities are excellent and secure. Very clean bathrooms, showers, lounge and laundry. I do wish they would perform some repairs to the patched floating docks, but overall, an excellent facility. Short walks to everything and animal friendly.
P.S. Nobody asked if I'd had my vaccinations when I went to the dog park... or if my dog's shots were current.
Prices not bad for a major city.. Baltimore. Beautiful women in abundance in Canton and Fells Point..... for those who care.

good marina, 2011-10-10
Captain: , Rock Hall, Maryland (119)

I agree with the other reviews. Safeway grocery store, outback steak house and other restaurants across street. Water taxie is the best way to inner harbor and fells point. it is also an easy walk to fells point but inner harbor is a little hike (about one mile). Fairways are narrow and may be difficult in any wind for a sailboat.

Great place to stay!, 2011-08-09
Captain: , Oakton, VA (349)

The security is good, the bathrooms were very clean, and all of the people we met were friendly. We enjoyed a nice meal across the street at Pasticcios italian restaurant.

Walk to Just About Everything, 2011-07-07
Captain: , Wicomico Creek, MD (494)

Been coming here for years. Everything within walking distance, no place more convenient in Baltimore. Canton restaurants within walking distance, shopping and the inner harbor only a bike ride away. Staff very helpful. Pump out at the slip a big plus. Only negative are the floating docks which are showing their age.

Great marina with nice facilities, 2011-07-03
Captain: , Beach haven NJ (510)

I usually stay here whenever I am in Baltimore. Although it is not in the center of the City the water taxi will take you whever you need to go. The service is great. Within minutes of docking my boat a golf cart showed up with the marina staff asking for any trash I had on board. I was impressed. I highly recommend this marina.

Captain: , Newark, DE (250)

I've been staing in Anchorage for two years now. I love it! Baltimore is a great city that caters nicely to the boating community, yet doesn't advetise itself to it. Anchorage is nicely situated on the outside of downttown in the center of Caton. Floating docks, metered electric and unlimited water, as well as a pumpout boat that comes to you are all available. With grocery stores, starbucks(directly across the street), a lot of restaurants and bars, and a West Marine all located within walking distance. The people are amazing with plenty of live aboards and transients to give it that seafarer's charm. The pool and deck next to it are a great place for sundowners and afternoon meetups. And if you have a dog, the marina and the entire inner harbor cater to dogs with doggie watering holes outside almost every shop and doggy treats for all of our canine friends. Pool too small for all visitors on Memorial weekend. Bathrooms clean. Grocery, West Marine, restuarants are all within walking distance. Needed a battery for the boat so location is great. Water taxi $10 daily if not using dinghy.

Nice Location, 2011-05-11

We stopped here for a month because the weather looked dreadful going north and we needed to get back to work. This is a very nice faclity with a good staff. It is very close to everything you could need, grocerys, restaurants, nightlife etc.
Only two negatives.
#1 Water quality, lots of garbage in the water. This is from run off. I did see the city out in boats cleaning it up but it was really discusting when we first arrived. I am sure this is due to our early spring arrival and they were just getting back to it after the winter.
#2 No free internet, pay only

Arrived about 5:45PM and no one answered the radio (we weren't informed about late arrivals). Tied up at T dock and spent 15 minutes looking for the security fellow. He called someone and we got our slip assignment, and we were on our own. No sweat however. Large fairways and well numbered. Found the same duck poo everywhere on the docks. Stayed two nights and it was fine. Water taxi great. Not that much to Canton but Fells Point was superb. Got fuel next door at the Marine Center. Showers/heads clean. No idea on washing machine area. Would i stay here again? Hmmm. The Baltimore Marine Center next door is very nice but a little more expensive. Inner Harbor is always great. Pd $2 /ft.

We'll second everything PJ Trawler said, we especially like Safeway being so convenient just across the street plus all the restaurants %u2013 it would take us months to try to cover them all. The staff was especially helpful. To pick up the water taxi is a short walk west to Capt James restaurant or a slightly longer walk to Fells Point. It is about 2 miles to the inner harbor/downtown which you can walk, take the water taxi or pick up a bus just across the street. We thoroughly enjoyed our month there.

We will have spent a month here for the MTOA rendevous and Trawler Fest. The monthly rate here is a good deal. The marina staff are quite friendly and helpful. The marina is within walking distance to Safeway for groceries and many fine restaurants and a West Marine store. It's also a short walk to the Captain James restaurant which has a Water Taxi stop. If you want to ride the Water Taxi for nine days or more get the Frequent Floater pass. It's a better deal. Anchorage Marina is a great centrally located spot. We will stay here again.

Great location!, 2010-09-25

Located between Canton and Fells Point, 2 charming little areas of Baltimore and a short walk to Inner Harbor, this is a very convenient stop. Loved our stay there but only negative thing is that there are 2 washers which are filthy and apparently not routinely cleaned---for the huge marina. In the laundry area is a very large book exchange library.

Spent 5 days in the Marina attending the 2010 MTOA National Rendezvous. 80+ boats in attendance. Marina staff were excellent, knowledgeable and courteous. All docks are floating docks, with double full length finger piers. Security gates at the head of each pier with security staff on-site 24/7. Shopping, entertainment, and West Marine all within easy walk. Pumpout available two days per week, cost $10.00 and they come to your boat. No fuel available, but adjoining marina (Baltimore Marine Center) has fuel (Diesel 2.99).

An oldie, but a goodie, 2010-06-13

Very nice folks. As previously posted, docks a little worn, and the docks next to the transient slip we were assigned had duck droppings all over them. However, a few minutes with a hose and we were all set. There are finger piers on each side of the slip- very nice touch.

Shopping VERY close, so easy to get the stuff back to the boat. There are lots of restaurants(try Helen's Garden in Canton, a 7 minute walk- very good). If the Inner Harbor is your thing, the Water Taxi is a 5 minute walk and for $10 bucks you can ride all day.

Security was very good with locking gates that actually worked.

Bottom line? Great Value.

The marina has great dock staff and the facilities are spotlessly clean, but the docks are worn (but being maintained) and there is no free WI-FI. There is a Safeway, West Marine, Radio Shack, and restaurants all within short walking distance. Management was very helpful with some problems I had.

Helpful staff. All floating docks. Stores close by, just across the street.

Best of the inner harbor, 2008-01-22

Anchorage Marina has everything you could want at a reasonable price. Lots of restaurants nearby, nice lounge, clean heads and showers. There are two disadvantages to the marina however. The first is parking, there is little available and on weekends you have to find a place on the street or at the Can Company garage. Second the inner harbor is 7 miles from her entrance to the bay.
