During summer months, significant patches of floating eel grass are present in the marina. Boaters entering the fuel dock at slow speeds or idling should be aware that the grass can be easily sucked into the vessel's raw water intake, leading to engiine overheating and requiring a dive service to remove it.

Reviews for Anacortes Marina
Small Boats are Second Class Citizens, 2015-12-09
Captain: , Anacortes (31)

This marina has a history of bullying small boat owners. They don't write down their policies so that they can make them up on-the-fly and apply them to whomever and however they see fit.

Private marina, 2011-08-31
Captain: , Sequim Bay (317)

This a private marina so unless you have a slip here or you are visiting Marine Service Center next door you won't have berth for the night. The facilities for long term renters is quite good. Security and parking are excellent. Staff are friendly but don't park in the wrong areas.

Gas & pumpout, 2011-08-04
Captain: , Whidbey Island, WA (47)

Gas is available to the public but it's a little time consuming to get gas here as they also sell sailboats and often 2 or 3 are tied up to the dock and they have to move them before you can tie up for fuel. The $5 pumpout is also on the fuel dock but usually it is clear

Excellent Permanent Moorage, 2011-02-03
Captain: , Anacortes, WA (177)

Very clean and well kept with flower pots etc. Large parking area and very busy in summer with MANY charter visitors present from April to October. Parking may be tight in July and Aug. Fuel dock is very friendly and helpful - good prices and pumpout with rinse water provided. I have seen boats moore there for 1 4 weeks on a temp basis - so if you need a temp spot to leave your boat in summer you may be able to negotiate a short stay that is longer than usual 1-3 days as a transient visitor

Very clean facilities and secure moorage. The staff is very helpful and work to meet the needs of their tenants and prospective tenants. Recommended.
