Reviews for American Legion
Great place for lunch or dinner stop, 2016-08-13
Captain: , St. Pete (171)

If you're a Legion member it's GREAT. If not, you can still do food. Food is reasonable and good, but goes up and down over time... not outstanding. If crowded you can wait a long time.

Sunset view is OUTSTANDING, also viewing the dolphins is great and there are a lot of them. Occasionally see Manatees.

Had a great time here, 2015-02-11

Non-members are welcome they can eat but can not buy alcohol. Wednesday afternoons they have outdoor dining with band. Stayed here 10/29/2014.

Good food & entertainment, 2014-09-08
Captain: , Treasure Island, FL (12)

, drinks & prices. No overnight dockage. Restricted to members & their guests except for special occasions. All liquor sales restricted to members by Florida law.

American Legion Madeira Beach Causeway, 2013-09-04
Captain: , OldHatt (77)

Update: daiytime dockage only. They have NEVER allowed overnight dockage. Don't know how that rumor got started. Just pull into any open dock if you are nearby, but be sure to spend some money here. Membership is only $35 a year for veterans but the club is open to the public. Great docks, cheap but good food and drinks. Frequent and free music (caribbean soul outside and big band/swing inside...fabulous). Wonderful people here, the best.

No longer allow overnight docking, 2013-02-06
Captain: , Buffalo (1144)

We called twice and left messages which were not returned, then phoned again when we were just off their docks, and were informed that they do not allow overnight docking.

Good food at reasonable prices, 2012-08-01
Captain: , Treasure Island, FL (375)

Room for 8 boats at their wooden docks. Easy access from the ICW with no known obstructions or shoaling in path. No dock hands but patrons often come to grab a line. Don't miss it if you are a veteran. Bring cash...

Captain: , St Petersburg,FL (209)

Good food, easy access from ICW, drinks available only to American Legion members.
