Reviews for Amelia Island Yacht Basin
Very good place to stop, 2016-12-06
Captain: , Rock Hall, MD (340)

We put in here for 2 days after completing an offshore passage from South Carolina. The staff was very friendly and helpful and got us tied up quickly and professionally. The onsite restaurant has a limited menu, but the food wasd very good and the service was excellent. The WiFi signals at the docks was weak but if you sit at the restaurant, you'll have very good connections. The only other negative was the shallow water at the channel entrance to the marina. If you stay closer to the piling with the marina's sign and then move to the center of the visual channel after you pass the entrance area, you'll have better water. Overall, we'd definitely stay here again.

new management , 2016-11-17
Captain: , Columbia, NC (160)

Clearly there is improvements being made - construction people and materials are in the job site - on site restaurant to open this week - friendly staff

Friendly staff, but that's about it, 2016-04-10
Captain: , Annapolis (214)

Stayed here for three months. Staff is friendly and very service-oriented. Owners of marina have let this place go. Docks are not being maintained nor has the channel been dredged. Bathrooms need upgrading and thorough cleaning. Rumors are the marina has just been sold, so hopefully new owners will bring it back.

Nice Marina, 2016-03-14
Captain: , Montgomery MN (161)

Friendly staff, nice ship store, clean showers and nearby restaurant/bar made for a pleasant overnight stay.

It pays to know what's going on, 2016-02-04
Captain: , Wilmington NC (400)

Was moving from Fernandina to Jacksonville on 1/29/2016. Bridge was closed and workers on the bridge working but no one would talk to me. Called Debra and she informed me that the bridge work had the bridge closed and would only open from 11 to 1 each day. I asked Debra if I could tie up and walk my dog and she said sure. Greg came all the way down to the 1st dock to get me in safe and then whenn I got to the office, Debra didn't charge me because I was only going to be there 2 hrs. What a nice jesture. Haven't stayed here before but will on my next trip. Thanks again.

Nice protected Marina and People are friendly BUT, 2016-01-22
Captain: , Chesapeake Beach, MD 20732 (190)

Very protected marina and friendly helpful staff.But.
The entrance is really shallow and so are the marina fairways, I draft 3 feet and tricky for me. Early 11/15 diesel was $2.99 plus tax now down a little but higher than surrounding fuel docks. No hot water in restrooms near office and showers farther away. A resturant is near by but nothing past that. Entering or leaving at low tide is scary in the narrow channel.
The store is a Wet Marine as a Port Supply supplier so you cant use you own port supply discount.

Great Staff and Good Facilities, 2015-12-14
Captain: , Rock Hall (30)

Stayed here one night to hide from high winds. Excellent staff help getting on to and off of docks. They seemed willing to go the extra mile to get us whatever we needed. Can order parts from West Marine on overnight basis. Very protected marina.

Fabulous Marina, 2015-11-23
Captain: , Middle River, MD (40)

We stayed here 2 nights as I got ill taking our boat south. Bill the GM took me to Urgent Care, picked me up after I was finished. Then he took me to CVS and waited for me while I got my prescription. The staff was short handed due to lunch when we pulled in but still helped us fuel up and tie us to our slip. The marine store was the best stocked store I have seen since we left Baltimore. If you in this area it is a must stop. I saw nothing that would make it less than 5 stars!

more protected Amelia choice, 2015-11-20
Captain: , annapolis, MD (120)

Needed to leave the boat a couple days so chose this very protected marina. Staff were very helpful. West marine "express" like ships store was also nice. Save an onsite restayrant everytnhing needs a car.
Approach at low tide is not recommended. Looks like 3 to 4 feet at low tide.

Good, not quite a 4 star yet., 2015-10-30
Captain: , Dunedin, FL (6484)

Staff very helpful & welcoming. We had two boats coming in at the same time and we had lots of dock help. Even got a ride from the dock to the office & back. Nice docks, clean restrooms & showers. Only negative is the skinny water. Although large ocean going trawlers can dock here, some of the slips are too shallow at low tide. Before you come in make sure you are placed in a slip where you won't bottom out at low tide. They are dregging are regular basis, but some slips have been missed.

Excellent and helpful staff, 2015-06-15
Captain: , St. Petersburg, FL (201)

Deborah is great. I needed a part - a $1,000+ part, and she ordered it with nothing more than a phone call ahead from me. How refreshing to find that kind of helpfulness and trust these days. The marina had everything I needed and they even loaned me one of the yard trucks to run some errands. They were very accomodating.

About the only warning I have is the depth at low tide. They have about a 6-7 foot tidal range and I did run aground (very soft mud bottom) right at the docks on a low time (my boat draws 39" of water). They have an on-site dredge and keeping depth seems to be an ongoing battle.

That's the only thing to consider - I can't speak highly enough about how helpful Deborah was during my visit.

Nice rest stop, 2015-05-15
Captain: , Charleston, SC (144)

Nice, quiet and protected marina with great staff. We shredded a water pump belt a couple of miles out...here no problem. Their service dept didn't have one in stock and Deb took he time to find where to get the part. They provided a loaner vehicle and map/directions not only to parts, but provisions. Thanks! We ate at The Galley onsite. Pretty good food and a short walk back to boat. Only drawback was no exit at low tide. We waited until mid flood and saw 6.5 ft thru the channel. This place goes into the yes file for return visits.

Small marina with nice facilities, 2015-05-03
Captain: , Punta Gorda, Fl (880)

Update May/2015
We had no issues with depth and see many large vessels here. General manager Bill is all about service and wanting to make our stay perfect. He drove a shuttle all weekend to the Shrimp Fest in Fernandina for any marina customers. Bath/shower multiple locations for convenience. Good ship store. Laundry convenient. Marker 13 dining on sight---menu limited, but food is ver good and folks very friendly. We biked from marina to Fort Clinch State Park and the beach---easy, safe, and scenic ride. Fort was a good visit.

2011---Cozy marina with nice bath/showers convenient. Not far from Fernandina. Island is lovely and a taxi ride is a must to enjoy this gem. Dining onsight.

nice marina, 2015-04-27
Captain: , Clayton, NY (645)

a bit scary at the entrance channel at low tide - very narrow. we churned some silt but made it with a 4'2" draft.friendly staff. bathrooms were a bit far from our slip so we didn't use them. We met friends for dinner so we did not use the grill at the Marina.

We loved it here, thanks!!!, 2015-04-20
Captain: , Nowhere,OK (1314)

We only spent a day here, getting in before noon. Two hands helped us tie up and we had plenty of deep water (mid tide) we were on the C dock (third T head in).

Bill drove us into town so we could sightsee. He picked us up a few hours later. Pretty impressive service from the manager!

On site food was very good, make sure you get the smoked fish dip!

This is on our come back to marina list.

Dredge in progress - well done!, 2015-03-22
Captain: , Quantico VA - Amelia FL (644)

Entered an hour after dead low tide and the entire channel to the first T head is now at least 5.5ft. Dredging is complete to B dock. I'm new to Amelia since January 2015, about the same time they put their new dredge into operation. The marina has been great thus far, the little restaurant at the B dock as you enter is under new management and is doing well and the pull and paint I did last week was effortless. Great place with good protection and easy access. The ICW still needs some work but Now that I'm here full time I'll make it an effort to update all the cautions in the area.

too shallow now, 2014-12-03
Captain: , Cape Canaveral (1101)

We have been here before. Nice folks, great dock hands, well maintained facility. However, we stopped here Dec 2, 2014 in the late afternoon at early, falling tide. The harbor master saiid there was plenty of depth. At 11:00 PM dead low tide I noticed our depth guage reading zero. Our boat with 4' draft was on the bottom, llisting to port, no longer floating, and would not move in the slip. I measured the water depth. It was 2' to mud. We are waiting for 6 AM high tide tomorrow morning hoping, prayiing that our twin 2 inch shafts are only deep into the mud and not bent. If OK, we will leave and not return until the marina is fullly dredged.

We spent two nights here and liked it very much. The channel is shallow, but the dockmaster told us to get here two hours before low tide and we got in OK, though it felt like we pushed a little mud a couple times. He helped us tie up in a strong wind and provided a courtesy car. The marina provided better protection than expected during the next couple days of high winds. When we left, the dockmaster provided two guys to help us depart in winds on the beam. We felt safe here, liked this place and will be back.

convienient stop over going south, 2014-11-26
Captain: , South Portland, Maine (847)

We ducked in here to avoid an overnight gale with 30 knts and heavy rain. A great decision as the overnight gusts were closer to 40 and the wind would have severely knocked us around on the hook.

As we arriveed it was raining cats and dogs but the staff was right on the dock to tie us up in strong gusts. My engine stalled as I reversed at the dock but the brake was set on the dock line so no problem. The 20% discount for Boat US is nice, the on site restaurant has the best fish pate, you must have it.

Office staff extreamly good and helpful, we will definately stop in here again in the spring. By the way, going south, this is the last protected marina before Jacksonville.

Nice marina, 2014-07-14
Captain: , Bethlehem, PA (716)

Shallow coming in, watch the tide and call ahead to make sure you're coming in correctly. Used their courtesy truck for shopping. Nice bar/grill on-site, watched sports on TV

marina nice, channel 4.9' at LLW bar great!!!, 2014-05-23
Captain: , Beaufort, NC (173)

We came in late 8:30pm tide was LOW but we made it in we only draft 4.8' Marina office was closed but the folks at the bar (Allison and Joe) saved us by staying open late, letting us use an oven to heat dinner and generally being very very nice and accommodating. Power is 50amp only so bring an adapter. Their office hours should run a little later during migratory seasons.

very Accommodating and Friendly, 2014-05-06
Captain: , Kent Island, MD (392)

Stayed here for 3 weeks and the entire staff is courteous and helpful. I called the Marina office to find out about oil disposal after an oil change and was told "Let me have someone come over and pick it up for you."

All of the facilities are immaculate and the restaurant is very good and fairly priced.

Amelia Island Yacht Basin, 2014-04-27
Captain: , Sandwich (692)

Marina directly off ICW adjacent to RR swing bridge. Very shallow at low tide. Floating docks easy tie-up. Galley Grille restaurant closed Sun/Mon. Courtesy car available. Bath/shower facilities rustic could be just a tad cleaner. Good for an overnight.

Quiet Peaceful Stop, 2014-04-25
Captain: , Lakeville, Maine (225)

You could not ask for better dock hands. We were put in a tight spot but with their hands we were easily maneuvered into place. They have a well stocked store and can order from West Marine with prompt delivery. The use of their courtesy truck was helpful. There is a restaurant on site as well as good internet. With their new dredge the low water issues should be resolved.

Great Stop Over, 2014-04-24
Captain: , Stafford, VA (148)

This was a very nice place for an overnight stay. They do not have a courtesy car and it is kind of far out. That is the only negative that we can think of. They were in the process of dredging their entrance. We had no problem getting in but the dredging will make it a lot nicer.

Nice spot and getting better...., 2014-01-07
Captain: , Galesville, Md (116)

Visited and toured the marina during my Christmas vacation as I often do. Based upon the conversation with the marina front office there are plans to dredge the entrance channel. It appears from the dock walk, the current ownership and management are taking a much more proactive approach to maintenance than in the past. The marina basic maintenance of docks, grounds and facilities appeared in much better condition than in previous years. The small store is well stocked, clean and well organized. Staff is attentive and polite.

Great Place - Shallow entrance Channel, 2013-11-30
Captain: , Little River, SC (1967)

Great staff helped us with refueling, pumpout and tying up in our slip.We needed groceries and they let us use their service vehicle.
Entrance channel is very shallow at low tide. We saw about seven feet at mid-tide. The marine store is great. Shopwers and rstrooms were quite clean.

Well protected and knowledgeable staff, 2013-11-28
Captain: , algoma, WI (140)

Good stop during a two day blow; fairways a bit narrow, but staff is very knowledgeable in springing boats out in a strong wind; Staff is very customer oriented and very responsive to questions and concerns.

I like it and would return, 2013-11-13
Captain: , Belfast, ME (407)

The reviewer who had several complaints and who said he would not return was correct in his specific criticisms. This place is showing its age. But I like it and would gladly return. The people here more than make up for any imperfections.

cannot say enough good things, 2013-11-11
Captain: , westbrook, ct (30)

the entire staff is EXCELLENT and could not do enough to accomondate all of our needs, the courtesy car was at out disposal, the marine store (mini-West Marine) had everything we need to change oil in our engines, recylced the oil, gave us tips on maintenace items,do not miss this marina, you will not be dissapointed....as previous review state, the entriace has limited water at low tide, they're in the process of dredging the channel - SAILBOATS be aware of the bridge just south of the marina clearance is 63.5' @ high tde or lower if the wind is pushing water into the area - the staff advised us when we should depart with our 4' draft and 61' mast - we had 6.5' of water in the channel 2.5hrs prior to low tide and 67'clearance under the bridge - NOTE there was no hieght markers on the bridge heading south.....the marker is only on the south side of the bridge

How to do it right, 2013-11-03
Captain: , jackson, TN (884)

Sometimes you find a marina where everything seems to just be done right. Amelia Isand is that kind of place. The staff is freindly, helpful and competent. The heads are clean and attractive. The lawn is mowed and the shrubs are trimmed. The docks are and solid. The ships store is well stocked and associated with West Marine. If you order by 3PM and its in stock in one of West's Jacksonville area stores, you'll have it at Amelia Island by 10 am. Oh yes, and the food at The Galley was good, fairly priced and the service was excellent. Everything about this place works and works well. It is a delight to visit.

Excellent service from Amelia Island Yacht Basin, 2013-08-03
Captain: , Baltimore, MD (10)

I rented a jet ski from AIYB and they gave me superb service right from the get go. Kristin at the front desk was super friendly and courteous, and when I had to prematurely get back to the docks because of thunderstorms, she was kind enough to let me come the next day and complete the ride. All the boys who helped me on and off the jet ski were also friendly and very helpful.

Great service, 2013-05-17
Captain: , Punta Gorda (151)

Came in with an electric problem, they diagnosed and fixed in a matter of minutes. No charge.

Really nice people. This is our second time here, and we heartily endorse it.

Mike and Sue m/v JB Frog

Too Shallow, 2013-04-30
Captain: , Lakeland (70)

The place is tired and at low tide there was only 2' under my boat. I was in soft mud that apparently won't hurt my boat but I could not run my A/C or flush my toliets 2 hours b/f and after low tide. In a storm the boat next to me ripped a cleat out that was not secured properly. The grounds are nice but I would not stay here again because of the low water. Do not attempt to come into the marina at low tide - only come in at mid to high tide. I recommend the outside docks at the city marina farther north.

great to be back, 2013-04-20
Captain: , Boca Raton, FL (995)

No, you are not right downtown fernadina beach but you can't ask for a better marina. Had to do a haul out to swap a prop and although it was the most expensive haul and splash I've ever had, and they didn't have the right tools to pull my 27" prop, they stayed with it until they got it! You can't ask for more. I haven't been here since SunTex took over and they have done a fine job... Tom and the staff are superb. Their goal is to do whatever they can for you.

This is Not Fernandina, 2013-04-16
Captain: , Hollywood, MD (271)

We couldn't get into the municipal marina at Fernandina Beach becuase of the MTOA gathering. So as we looked throught the other marinas in the area Amelia Island Yacht Basin came up as a 1st Choise. We gave it a try and were very impressed by the staff, facilities and lack of that annoying current. They let us use the loaner vehicle to get over to Fernandina for dinner (at Pablo's). We'll stop here from now on. Great job AIYB!

One of the best, 2013-04-09
Captain: , Southport, ME, USA (1158)

AIYA gets 5 stars for everything except depth. The people here; Tom, Bill and all the staff, are 1st rate. Their only goal is to make you happy. However, with our 6 foot draft getting in and out is a bit of an issue. For us it took half tide or better to get in, but once in all's well. These guys are great!

Great Place to Stop Over at., 2013-04-03
Captain: , Kemah, Texas (40)

Although the entrance can be a little intimidating at low tide (We draw 3.5 feet and there was only a narrow 6 foot coming in.) the staff was on hand past closing time to help us with dock lines and advice over the radio on how to get to our slip. The docks were clearly marked so that we could find our dock with no problems unlike many marinas that we have visited who make you guess which dock is which.

All of the staff were friendly and helpful with any questions we had and they were happy to offer helpful suggestions on local knowledge or how to make docking an even easier and more pleasant task.

They even have a courtesy vehicle that we were able to use to help re-provision

I cannot reccommend this marina enough and I know that we will be stopping back here on our way south again.

A Gem for overnight or longer, 2013-03-31
Captain: , solomons md (190)

We spent Easter on our trip north. There's been a lot said about depths coming into the marina. We draw 4.5 ft. and at 2 hours before low water, had no less than 7 ft. At dead low, a deeper draft should exercise caution. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Manager Thomas Moore even gave us his cell number and told us to call with any problens day or night. As he pointed out, a marina is nothing more than concrete and wood, it's the customer service that sets you apart and these people set the bar high. We were lucky to get reservations to The Ritz Carlton for Easter brunch and although a bit pricy, the buffet was fantastic and well worth the money. There is a loaner truck to top things off. This is a great place at a fantastic location.

Nice Place, 2013-03-14
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

Price matches service and facility. Excellent place. Hard to turn a single engine boat around at fuel dock/pump out dock. call for help for sure. Staff is really nice and we will defiinitley stop again. Courtesy car a huge plus

Great Management Makes the difference., 2013-03-02
Captain: , indianapolis (194)

Although we did not plan our stop at this facility (we had a structural problem requiring immediate TLC) we found it to be one of the best managed marinas we have ever run across. Sailors will absolutely love having onsite rig inspection and the full range of other service providers was far beyond our expectations for such a small community. Cheerful, knowledgable, staff, one day Port Supply delivery of any part to the very adequate onsite chandlery and a sincere desire by the staff to help us find the best tradesman made us really appreciate our stay. The island is a real gem too.
The best part....the pricing was really fair ...no onshore piracy...which if you have ever had something major done is always a concern. I highly recommend this facility.

Gale Wind Refuge, 2013-01-19
Captain: , Athens, GA (110)

We came into the marina in gale winds, we turned down the first slip offered because it did not appear accessible due to wind, staff very graciously found us another more approachable slip. Be very cautious when entering or leaving on low tide. Excellent staff, courtesy vehicle, great town to visit. Restaurant closed for the season. Exercise facility on site, but leased to off staff personal trainer, must make appointment to use facility. The only reason we did not give it 5 star is because of shallow water, however, the owner is working with a dredge to correct issue.

will go out of our way to stay, 2013-01-19
Captain: , Deltaville (10)

wonderful and accomodating staff outstanding general manager

Quiet and safe, 2013-01-18
Captain: , Tracys Landing, Maryland (350)

Left our boat here for a few weeks over the holidays. Marina is safe, and secluded from the wind. Onsite sheriff presence. We did have evening visitors fishing on the docks, but the marina put signs up recently to discourage that. We draft only 3.5ft, but were grounded at every low tide. Being a cat, this wasn't much of an issue, but could be a problem for a monohull. Restaurant was closed for the season.

very good marina, 2012-10-28
Captain: , GREEN COVE SPRINGS, FL (736)

Waited out the passing of Hurricane Sandy here, three days. We too found the staff to be very helpful and professional. They watch the tides and advised us kowledgeably on when we could make it up the channel to the harbor. Depth at our dock (G dock in lee of big storage stack buildings) was 10 feet plus.

White Swan, 2012-10-26
Captain: , Melbourne (10)

Marina is clean, Staff is helpful,Docks are in top condition and floating. Boat US discount, Bar and grill has all you can eat shrimp Mon to Thru untill 7:00 pm. Check tides before entering channel , we saw 4' two hrs after low tide. Good place to stop.

Great Staff, 2012-05-10
Captain: , Grand Haven (470)

We pulled off the ICW about two hours from low tide into a narrow
channel. I have a 48 inch draft and we kicked up a lot of mud.
The staff was great to work with and said they plan to dredge soon.
The burger that we had at the on site resturant was very good.
Restrooms were clean.

silted in --5-7-12--, 2012-05-07
Captain: , isle of palms,sc (131)

very nice facility with maintenance, dockage, fuel, restaurant, courtesty car, floating docks. friendly people. low rating is hopefully temporary. Due to mud/silt build up in the marina basin. tied into slip at 6:00pm. woke at 4:00am to high pressure alarm on ac. checked the raw water filter and found it packed with mud. Next morning a local boater on the dock told me that everyone at the marina knows not to run any accesories that require raw water during low tide. Now I know as well. Low tide was at 4:00am that night. Marina staff should have warned me but did not.. All of my through hulls were jammed with mud. Spent the next few hours unclogging them(after the tide rose a few feet). Marina staff very apologetic. told me they had bought a system for dredging the marina but had not finished the job yet.
Anyone considering overnighting here should ask if the slip to be used has been dredged. If you see mud kick up when docking, ask for another slip or leave before the tide falls out. You will need mid tide to leave the marina mud free. We left the marina at high tide without difficulty. Until the silting problem is taken care of, would recommend to avoid this marina. Hopefully they will correct the problem soon.

Amelia Island, 2012-05-05
Captain: , Baltimore, Maryland (330)

Great marina, great ataff. They loaned us a truck to go get a marine part which they were out of. The entrance is a bit tricky at low tide, but they are making progress to keeping it open. Great facilities, too.

Wonderful friendly - famiily marina, 2012-01-18
Captain: , Apponaug, Rhode Island (274)

After a long day on the water, we turned into the narrow channel to enter the marina. It was close to low tide and there was little room for error. We did not go aground but with 4.5 draft, it was close. I would recommend high tide. In any case, the marina staff went above and beyond. We took on fuel and one of the staff drove us into town to get some supplies we needed. The buildings are charming and clean. We look forward to returning to AIYB on our way back south next year. Highly recommend.

great service, 2012-01-13

After running aground, we had prop problems and we were directed to this facility. Narrow channel and not a lot of depth (we draw 4 1/2), but Tom and his crew were fantastic. We had to leave our boat for repairs and the mechanics were great - we would definelty stop again!

A nice facility but shallow waters, 2012-01-07

2012-01-04 Stayed here one night for the 1st time. Getting in to the marina wasn't a problem as we were n a rising tide. Had 7' of water at the 1st red, then more after that. The next morning at departure time (1030 hrs) it was low tide (four days before full moon) and our keels (catamaran) at 4'3" were sitting on the bottom! The office advised that the bottom was soft silt and mud and that we could most likely make it out. We did but we pretty much had to "plow" our way out and the channel at a lunar low tide wasn't much wider than our 25' beam. It is definately best to enter this marina at half tide or better if you have more than 41/2 feet of draft.
The marina facilites were excellent and the marina personel were fantastic. No courtesy vehicle but the manager offered the use of his truck or marine jeep. Will definately stay here again. Except for the water depth issue I would have rated this a five star.

Really helpful manager and staff, 2011-11-25

Yes, it is a ways to town, groceries and restaurants, but the manager, Tom, is extremely helpful and will make sure you get where you want to go. Their dredge was hard at work and I would expect to see 7' everywhere in the near future. Very protected, not far from Jacksonville airport, and check out T Rays for breakfast or lunch; ask Tom how to get there. Will return.

What you'd like to expect from a marina!, 2011-10-26

We all know that things can go wrong, and it seems so seldom that a business bends over backwards to make you happy. AIYB is the sort that takes care of you and appreciates your business. We came in whipped and a mighty cold night was predicted so we wanted to hook up to shore power. There was an issue with getting just 30 amps, and at first it looked like we were in for a cold night, but the manager and crew scrambled and found us an adaptor and were very nice about it all. How refreshing to be treated so nice!!

Excellent, friendly service, 2011-07-06
Captain: , Indianapolis (56)

I had an emergency haulout here when I the propellor shaft became disengaged. The staff was extremely professional and courteous. I left the boat there for repairs that included a new bottom paint job, reinstalling the shaft (the shaft zinc kept me from losing it) and an oil change among others. The price was very reasonable.
While it's true that there is no courtesy car and the marina is several miles from the stores, there is a local taxi that charges only $5.00 to take you anywhere on Amelia Island. I also found the restrooms to be well kept, unlike the previous comment.
The only caveat that I place on the marina is that with any type of draft (I draw 5') you must wait for the tide to enter or exit (The marina now has a dredge, which they are fixing, and have a permit to dredge to a MLW 6' depth.)

I was expecting more, 2011-04-22
Captain: , Lansdale, PA (330)

Their website says "A full service marina at a first class destination". The island has nice shops and restaurants near the other marina, but Amelia Island Yacht Basin is not walking distance to anything. The restaurant is only open on weekends and there is no pool or courtesy car. There are bathroom cleaning logs in the restrooms, showing that they have not been cleaned in a month and that is exactly how they look. Staff was friendly and helpful, but that's not enough to make it worth coming to.

Great Marina...be careful entering, 2011-03-18
Captain: , Acworth, GA (55)

3/11/11 Great staff, very helpful with all our needs. Floating docks okay, but need a little TLC. Rest/Bar was only open on weekends...not sure about other times of the year. Not much within walking distance, but the small charming town is a short cab ride with tons of good restaurants and shops. Much to see on this island.

I would not enter the narrow channel at low tide.
