Reviews for Safe Cove Boat Storage
Great Place, Great Staff, 2017-04-28
Captain: , cocoa beach (50)

We stored our Bristol 35.5 here for almost a year. When we returned we were pleasantly surprised to find her in great shape. A serious bath, a couple coats of varnish, and off we go! Felt very secure while she was here. Traveling overseas we were able to call and check on her. She was blocked and tied down for hurricane season. No problems.

The owner, Jack, and his staff couldn't have been more professinal or accomodating. We decided to let the yard paint the bottom, and after 40years of doing it myself, I was very pleased at the quality of the work, and the care that was taken.

There may be cheaper places to store your boat, but you get what you pay for. If I need to long term store again, I will return.

Only downside is getting your boat here. We departed April 26, 2017 and saw just a little over 5' the whole way through the canals. OK for us drawing 4', but be awarre.

Please see review of 1/2/16 which was intended for Safe Harbor Boat Storage but was submitted by error to the Charlotte Harbor Boat Storage
My error as Safe Harbor was great to deal with

Splash Imtiimadtion, 2015-04-04
Captain: , punta Gorda (10)

After 2 months at this yard and ready to launch while paying the bill and much to my suprised was presented with a extra charge that was made up by the owners imagination. He claimed that he was charging me because I greatly inconvienced him by not moving my boat out of the sandblast pit after the blasting was finished. Nevrer did he advise me of tis while the boat was being worked on that I had to move my boat. During the heated discussion his demdand went to not accepting my check to cash only. I had no alternative in order to get the boat launched and paid. The travel lift operator Matt is very professional. George the
Painter did a great job!!!

Has the boat on hard and stayed here on boat 3 days getting it ready to be splashed. The staff were very helpful and the splash was an easy event. It is a little out of the way but the prices seemed reasonable to me, I have seen lots higher for haul out, storage and dackage.

Good yard, but, 2014-11-15
Captain: , Cheboygan, MI (250)

Good storage and DIY yard, but you cannot stay on your boat overnight while it's hauled--place is locked up tight at night.

Safe Cove DBA All American, 2014-05-28
Captain: , Venice (650)

Great covered boat storage and good people that care for your boat.

Inconvenient and Expensive, 2013-07-05
Captain: , Burnt Store, FL (489)

If you are looking for a high priced yard that is hard to get to, this is the place. $600 for in-out and two weeks storage for a 32 ft. boat. 30 miles from the ICW including 10 miles of canals inside a poorly maintained and sometimes broken self-service lock.

new friendly owners, 2013-05-02
Captain: , venice fla. (10)

new owners are making this a much better yard. investing $ to upgrade and improve this facility. been storing s/v Plan Sea here for 6 summers and they have always been ontime for haul outs and launches. Recent improvements will make this facility even better, showers, laundry, fresh water at their dock and regrading of the expansive yard

Safe, Secure, Clean, 2013-04-08
Captain: , Punta Gorda (10)

Front office and yard help was friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. Completed a DIY bottom with out any issues. Just put a tarp down and connect a vacume to the sander. Very nice and well run yard.

GREAT PLACE WITH FRIENDLY STAFF, 2012-11-25
Captain: , PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (1328)

Now under new ownership with great people and staff. Kerrie & Jack Cervenka are the new owners and there to help all they can to make your stay pleasant. They have a great list of subcontractors if you need somebody or you can do your own work. The yard is very secure. Have been there several times with no problems and would recommend to anyone. Emily in the office has been there for years and has a tremendous knowledge of the area and its people. You won't be disapointed.
