Reviews for Algonac Harbor Club
Busy on weekends, 2016-08-19
Captain: , Buffalo,ny (60)

Dock master was rude when we called for resverations. We asked for a port side tie but was told that they couldn't accomadate that. Once we arrived, we had no help with the lines. the slip next to us was open all night and would have accomadated our request .
Facitlites are nice and clean. Nice pool. Just stayed overnight.

We had a pleasant stay at the dock, enjoyed the pool and a quick walking trip to Kroger for some supplies.

Nice place, food was good., 2016-08-10
Captain: , Island Cove Marina, Lake St Clair Michigan (10)

The dock master was waiting on our dock when we got there. Clean and tidy marina. Dinner was good and fair priced. Only stayed one night, but would definitely stay for a weekend next time.

Great Marina, 2015-08-31
Captain: , Mitchells Bay (60)

The Marina staff , Chcuk and his Team are always very helpful and make your stay as comfortable as can be.
Have vehicle now to transport and pick up boaters from neraby restaurants and shopping.

We stay here quite often and always have a great time

A Must Stop on the way to Lake Huron, 2015-06-28
Captain: , Liverpool N.Y. (79)

Club is located at the original Chris-Craft manufacturing facitlity. Has gas/deisel, pump out, showers and laundry. Transients have access to all Club facilities including pool, hot tub, Tiki Bar and restaurant. Harbormaster Chuck and staff provide transportation to local Kroger Supermarket. West Marine is just down the street. Worth an overnight if you have an interest in boating history.

Great stop, 2014-08-05
Captain: , Cedar Point Marina (10)

We had four boats in our group and everyone enjoyed our first stop here. Previous reviews note the depth and plant growth issues but we did not have any problems. Clean bathrooms and nice pool area. The restaurant is closed on Mondays but we lucked out because they had a volleyball tourney and party on the outside deck all afternoon and early evening. Friendly and helpful staff. Best part, the restaurant called Catch 22 that is a short walk from the Marina. I would go back to this marina just to go back to Catch 22.

Very protected marina - weed control needed., 2014-07-25
Captain: , Palm Beach Gardens, FL (1897)

We spent two nights here at the recommendation of other transients we met in Cleveland. It was good advice as the marina is well protected once you wind yourself into the entrance and around to the slips or the wall.
The pools were great and it is very close to a very nice Krogers store, NAPA, CVS and a small West Marine store.
The only problem was its a little skinny actually very skinny getting in, we draw 5'7" and the depth alarm was going off constantly. There are a lot of weeds and plant growth that reach right up to the surface and we stirred alot of mud when turning around to dock.
Make sure you check and clean your strainers as there were alot of weeds in mine which almost caused a big problem.
Still a lovely area, the strong river current does not come into play inside the marina.

large full service marina, 2013-12-18
Captain: , Fair Haven, Michigan (110)

This is one of the best marinas in the area...full service from the 3 different pools to the showers...on sight resturant with good food and weekend entertainment. Plenty of trancient wells with plenty of depth from most boats. Their Parrot party is a must if your in the area at the time always a blast.

Well run operation, 2013-10-19
Captain: , Racine WI (550)

This is a big marina with the facilities you would expect. Diesel prices were consistently fair all summer. Quality pump out. Great customer appreciation party just after labour day. Free beer no less!

Shallow entry, 2013-10-15
Captain: , Cedar Point, Sandusky, OH (300)

Entry way was very shallow, with lots of current. We tied onto the wall. Had a nice dinner in the restaurant.

Well run marina, 2013-08-21
Captain: , LaSalle, ON (85)

The docks are fixed docks in good condition. There is free wireless internet access however, couldn%u2019t get connected when we were there. Picnic tables are available by the docks. The pool was clean, there%u2019s a hot tub as well as a kiddie pool. The food at Harbor Club Bar and Grille offers typical bar food. There was a good band on the Friday and Saturday night and the bar got quite busy. There is a Krogers, a deli and two party stores within walking distance. There is also a West Marine within walking distance.

Nice facility and amenities with history, 2012-09-27
Captain: , Detroit (720)

Great pool, good restaurant, lots of history of the site. Management seems to really value family and customer service.

Clubhouse food is surprisingly very good! Fun times during the summer months!

Great Harbor to Visit, 2011-09-30
Captain: , Mac Ray Harbor (120)

Come here every couple of years - never dissapoints. Great location, great service - Pool, Restaurant, Play area, Vollyball court, etc. Close enough to town to walk or take a run.

Nice but very shallow 4'6" or less, 2011-08-17
Captain: , Lake Erie (68)

We called on our way into this port and confirmed the availability of a deep channel and dockage. We need 6' and did drag the bottom in the center of the channel on entry. Our depth sounder reported 5' in a few places and we did touch bottom. We tied up at the fuel dock showing 5'6. If you need more than 4'6" I suggest you look elsewhere. The grounds are nice, pool, hot tub etc but the harbormaster does NOT know the depths of his channel. I am not a happy camper with being told there is plenty of water and finding it off by several feet. He said we had high water because of the wind so I'm hoping we can get out.

The harbormaster tried to accomodate us but I do not appreciate being told (twice! once by phone the second priior to entry) there is plenty of clearance only to find that is completely 100% wrong. I depend on the harbormaster for accurate info and this one in particular doesn't have it. I would not come back here just based on this point alone.

Great Marina, 2011-06-22

Great location, restaurants, grocery store, and West Marine within walking distance. Nice clean facility, weekend entertainment at the bar, pool, hot tub and outstanding and frendly staff. Its hard not to have a good time there.

Nice place to stop, 2009-07-02
Captain: , Catawba Island, Ohio (610)

When I am running up and down the river, I always stop here. They seem to have good fuel prices. I stop and fuel up and get lunch at the nice little restaurant they have on site. If you have kids, the marina has a great pool! The town is nice. There is a little restaurant to the West of the marina that is a shrine to Chris Craft. They have lots of paraphenalia on display and good food.
