Reviews for Algoma Marina
Algoma Marina, 2014-09-01

We were advised to use Algoma from other boaters and told of a Good Maritime Museum. It has since closed.
Phoned ahead to make sure they could accomodate 46' boat. They do have accomodations however, they are located on the main channel. If wind is out of the east at all waves come in the channel and make for a very rough mooring. We spent a rough night and in the morning went inside the marina walls and smooth water. It is shallow and we did bump bottom once. (we draw 4') We were able to tie up to gas dock close to the boat launch. Staff was very helpful and bathrooms clean and secure. Downtown is close a Winery and brew house just a couple of blocks. They have gas on sight and will call a truck for diesel if needed.
Except for a rock and roll first night a pleasent stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Just the basics, 2014-08-13

Algoma Marina is only for smaller boats, under 40' and 4' draft. Marina caters to charter fishing boats. Nice place, protected behind two breakwaters. Docks adequate for boat size noted. Clean restooms/showers/boaters lounge. Close to town with grocery, hardware, banks. Friendly staff, boaters. Office is closed noon to 3 PM. Our first visit here was over ten years ago, still the same including the price.

Great spot unless SE winds, 2013-08-22
Captain: , Green Bay, WI (400)

We stayed 2 nights here in July. Pleasant staff, clean facilities, nice boatrs lounge and a great little town with a winery and a few superb restaurants walking distance. Fisherman and locals very friendly. Boats drawing 4 feet or more stay on a dock by the wall on the river. Works out great unless big waves from SE, in which case tie to both cleats and wall. We will come back...
