Reviews for Alert Bay Government Dock
Exposed Govnmt Dock Only, 2014-08-02
Captain: , Kirkland, WA (4478)

This is an exposed to the wind and wake floating dock that is best for short-term tie up while shopping or touring the town. There are no services at this dock and might only be usable for overnight on the shore side of the dock. LarryO's review is not for this dock but is for the nearby Alert Bay Boat Harbour.

Alert Bay is worth a visit, 2013-01-05
Captain: , Seattle (690)

We had an interesting experience at the Government dock. They didn't really have room for us, but they allowed us to raft up to a commercial fishing boat. We were able to get access to 30 Amp shore power, but getting to the dock across the seiner was something of an acrobatic feat. Nice restroom facilities. The U'Mista cultural center is a pleasant walk around the bay and has an impressive collection of artifacts. There is an interesting hike across a wetlands up the hill from the marina. Part is on boardwalk, other parts on narrow trails. Nice little espresso shop right by the marina - and ice cream at the marina office. Definitely worth a visit.
