Straight forward but this marna is some 6-7 km west of Alanya so do not be confused by the municipal marina located downtown.

Tide & current additional info

Due to what some are calling faulty planning, the boats in the marina in the winter experience swells from time to time that require attention to prevent boat damage. Another breakwater is to be built but when is the question. NB An additional breakwater has been added in 2015 and this has greatly improved marina security.

Other depth info: Please note that when you enter the marina, there are some floating obstacles that prevent you from taking a straight path to the docks. These are there to miimize swell effects, and they are of dubious value.

Boat ramp availability

Yes - At the moment, Antalya International Airport is the closest airport, approx. 1,5 hours by driving from Alanya. And there is a private company, giving airport taxi service from the marina (maximum 4 passangers and the fee subject to change depending on the number of passangers) and to the marina (maximum 4 passangers and the fee subject to change depending on the number of passangers).

There is also another airport, currently not operating, much closer than Antalya airport, approximately 30 minutes by driving from Alanya Marina. When that airport starts operating, it will be announced on their website.

And of course, you could take the buses to Antalya from Alanya Bus Terminal.

Other services

Castle in downtown, Saklikent Falls, plus other tourist attractions. Beaches are nice but sea water temperature can be as high as 30C in the summer. If have time, go to Side (to the east) and be fascinated by how these city incorporated great historical buildings into the modern day city.

Sweet Spot with Problems., 2017-05-29

Dramatic setting for a well-protected marina. However, there is a disco IN the marina that will rock your boat around 23:30-4:00 at night. Too bad. Home to what might be the biggest tourist pirate ship collection in Turkey %u2026 and Turkey is fascinated with pirate ships. DO NOT use this as your port of entry/departure. The local agent smilingly charged me 3x the %u2018normal%u2019 price for the 1-2 hour legal entry process. Water is still not potable. Helpful, friendly staff. the bus or walk to town is easily doable. Free laundry.

New facilities and friendl staff, 2016-06-27

We were here for 2 nights in early June 2016 for the first time. We normally avoid marinas, prefering town quays or on anchor. However we had a couple of reasons to need some marina time and had no regrets.

Staff were friendly and efficient and all the facilities were clean. I noted a previous comment about "bad" water and tasted it before filling our tanks. Absolutely fine and I'm still alive to write this after drinking it for 4 weeks.

The spa facility has been recently upgraded and is under new management; fantastic massage and excellent value. Good swimming pool and pool bar. Restaurant was also good value.

However it is a little way out of town but dolmus' run very frequently and cost 3TL, zip.

Still some problems here, 2015-05-04
Captain: , Carson City, NV (8659)

In May 2015 we spent three nights here. The marina staff were very pleasant and the facilities above average. However, I would not winter here if living aboard. The water is not drinkable. There is still some issue with surge during stromg SW winds. The WiFi and the electricity are expensive. The town is not convenient. And they are building a night club in the marina.

If not living aboard, it is inexpensive and the staff is competent.

Alanya Marina review, 2012-08-29

The marina is new but seems to be built from construction that started in the early 2000's. As such the concrete is already crumbling and rusting. Some facilites are not as new as one would expect a new marina to be. This marina is 6-7 km from downtown, making access to downtown either a long trek, gab a bus / mini bus, or take a taxi. I was there in May 2012 and was not impressed, but see the note from a boater that wrote in August 2012
