Reviews for Aghios Nikolaos Marina
Only proper marina on Crete, 2014-08-18
Captain: , Swanwick UK (515)

Very close to the town which has all the facilities you need - the marina is not to the same standard as in other countries but is perfectly adequate. Moorings are mostly stern to floating pontoons with lazy lines which in our case was too short for the yacht! In strong Meltemi winds the boats move a lot so good mooring essential. Staff are all very helpful. Marina is mostly used by liveaboards with permanent mooring - not many transient boats although there is space and facilities available for them.

Good facilities, great staff and a nice town. Reasonable internet. Good wintering community. The island is large enough to attract cultural events from Europe if you do have an extended stay. Modern amenities. Spent several weeks there and enjoyed it immensely.

an excellent Marina very near to the town which is extremelly beatifull. Marina is almost protected from all winds. Just contact with channel 12 Agios Nicolaos port control for more navigational aid. There are to many kinds of facilities such potable water, electricity, storage, hotels, bars, resturants, super markets, fuel etc. A nice place to spend your holidays.. prices not expensive

I spent four nights there in August 2012. All facilities were clean and up to date. Management and staff were helpful and pleasant. The harbour has very good all around protection. There seems to be a growing number of liveabaords wintering there. The town is large enough to be interesting over a winter.
