Medical Emergencies Onboard

Small towns depend on volunteers for survival. When we moved to the small coastal town of Castine, Maine in 1993 we decided to join the all volunteer ambulance corps. There is nothing else that we have done that has been more rewarding.

We have been thrilled to combine our decades of experience as EMT's with our love of cruising by offering the seminar "Medical Emergencies Onboard" at rendezvous, boat shows, and other cruising events. There is no anatomy or complicated words, just practical advice on how to get help to your boat quickly and what to do until they arrive.

For those of you who have attended our seminar, we thank you for the wonderful experience. For those of you who haven't, we hope to see you at a rendezvous or boating event in the future.

Below you will find our presentation slides, the list for our Practical First Aid Kit, and the Stroke Assessment Tool.

Remember, take a CPR class. It can save the life of someone you love.
